They had great people here. The community was not as nicely decorated inside. It had an intuitional feel to it.
This is a clean and beautiful community. It has beautiful views of nature and the park. The people are nice but right now is a hard time for everyone with the staffing challenges that everyone is going through. The administration staff have been very helpful and available through the process. The tour was great and I got to see everything that I needed and they gave me all of the information that I needed.

We moved my mom to an assisted living room during the pandemic. Everyone from administrators to the care givers made the move a wonderful experience for all of us. They has a "move-in coordinator" who did an amazing job before, during and after the move. Since we were not allowed to go inside, she sent me videos and floor plans of the room to help us decide what my mom needed in her new space. We brought the furniture and things to the loading dock and they moved it to her room and set it all up. They had caregivers work with her to get things put away quickly. One caregiver let my mom call us on her cell phone the day. She moved on a Friday afternoon and maintenance had her adjustable bed, cable and phone hooked up by Monday morning. My mom is happy and adjusting to her new surroundings. I really think they are doing an amazing job during this pandemic.

October 16, 2020Thank you for your 5-star review! We are grateful that you would take the time to share your experience here. It is an honor to serve your mom and help her get settled in her new home during this unique time in our world. We are glad that she is adjusting and happy!
It’s been a year since my last review, and even with the pandemic, this place continues to provide outstanding care! Little issues with dietary were easily resolved with an email, and the responsiveness of [name removed](the healthcare RN), [name removed](the administrator), [name removed](the activity director) and [name removed](community liaison), all of the front desk staff and[name removed] have exceeded my every expectation. I’m an RN still working and totally understand the impact of the pandemic on congregate communities, but this community has successfully gone above and beyond to protect and serve its residents and their families.

October 16, 2020Thank you for your review Sandy! We are grateful that you would take the time to leave a review not only once, but twice, and to let us know how we are doing in a challenging year. We are honored to be able to serve you and your family and to exceed your expectations during this unique time.
My mom moved from another independent living facility to Dublin Retirement Village several months ago and I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Beautiful surroundings...friendly and competent staff and leadership...lots of great activities to name some of the highlights. I especially appreciate the responsiveness from At Your Door Nurse Practitioner [name removed] in overseeing my mom’s medical care. It certainly makes all of our lives easier to know that she is in a safe and comfortable place and that all her needs are being met!

October 16, 2020Thank you for your 5-star review Linda! We are grateful that you would take the time to share your experience here. We are honored that your Mom chose to make her home at Dublin and we love having your family as part of the Dublin Retirement Village family.
My mother is at DRV. It is a place she likes and had done well. I was really drawn in by the friendliness of the staff and the way they treat resident family members as part of their extended community. Mom likes the food and we all like the ability to have dinner with her in the dining room periodically (COVID notwithstanding). I was especially impressed with how quickly management get on top of the COVID pandemic to keep residents safe. Revised practices and policies were in place before the state made its announcements. Furthermore, I like how these policies and practices evolve slightly to better meet the needs of the residents. COVID has created an environment with many challenges. Certain resident activities have restarted as appropriate, but the overall number of activities seems to be down. My only suggestion is to have more "safe" activities that will fill the void of the "unsafe" activities that have been blotted from the list. Great job staff!

I would highly recommend Senior Star at Dublin. The room sizes and layout of the community are marginal. The food is wonderful. They have a very nice outdoor space for the residents to use. It was a positive experience.

May 22, 2020Thank you for your 5-star review Heidi! We are grateful that you would take the time to share your experience here. It is an honor to serve you and have your family as part of the Dublin Retirement Village family!
We moved my 88 year old father from a small town in northern Ohio he had lived in his entire life to Dublin Retirement Village Assisted Living to be closer to us. From the first meeting to secure an apartment to move in the personalized attention was evident. Staff knew his name (and ours!) from Day 1 forward and the greetings are always personal and sincere. Our fears about him feeling alone or isolated were totally unnecessary- he has joined activities (thanks to in person invitations and encouragement) and is absolutely thriving! After one month told us he had written down everything he didn’t like about his new home - then proceeded to show us a blank piece of paper (with a big grin on his face!) From the staff who are truly stellar (talk about TEAMWORK!) to the food and activities that actually happen - AWESOME!

Five stars. My mother was there for over three years and DACMC became not only her home, but; her second family. She loved her caretakers through her dementia. They were always concerned about her well being and comfort. Through other relatives I looked after; DACMC was by far the best facility and staff.

Response from Dublin Retirement Village
November 19, 2018Thank you for your 5-star review!!
My parent stayed in this facility for 3 months during a long recovery and I have mixed opinions. The administrative staff was very kind and personable. They seemed to have the residents' comfort in mind and know the residents personally. They responded quickly when there was an issue with care. The nursing director was very good and followed up on a regular basis. The floor staff took care of a lot of rooms, so sometimes hard to locate if needed. The dining was our most negative experience - many meals were over-cooked, soggy and not appealing at all. The custom-order snack menu was very limited. Because of this, maintaining weight was a challenge. We discussed this a few times with the management but no measurable improvement. For the price, I expected a little higher level experience and probably would look elsewhere if we need this type of care again.

November 19, 2018Thank you for your review. We appreciate the time you have taken and we take your comments to heart. We are so glad that you had a positive experience with our associates and the way that we cared for your parent while they recovered. Our goal is always to provide excellent service and person-centered care for residents and their families. We are very sorry that our dining experience did not meet your expectations and that we were not able to remedy that while your parent was here. We do hope that if you are in need of this type of care again that you will reach back out to us and share your experience directly with our Administrator and our Dietary Manager. We would love the opportunity to serve your family again.
I love it here. The people are fantastic. It is great!

I moved to DRV one year ago. The management, staff and the people all work together nicely. I thought moving to a retirement facility my lifestyle would be a lot slower -- It’s not the case! It’s really fun and lots of support services for those with needs

I went on a tour here and we liked it. But it just was to much for my parents. They offered services that they didn't need or want. It was huge and beautiful like a Marriott resort. The staff answered all of my questions.

November 12, 2018Thank you for your 5-star review. We are sorry that our community wasn't the right fit for your parents, but we are honored that you would take the time to leave us your thoughts about your experience of visiting Dublin Retirement Village.
I'am satisfied with my mothers move to this community. Everything is working out great. She is safe, and in good hands. The staff is great, they have been helpful when needed. Also very kind, and friendly whenever I visit. Her room, and the community are well maintained, they do a good job with the cleanliness. It is a community I would recommend to my friends, it is a nice facility.

The experience is going well for my parents and the care is working out good. I get updates from the staff. My mom enjoys the activities and has been on some outing while in the assisted side. She has not told me of any issues. My dad has a nice memory care and they are providing him with good interaction and stimulation.

I had recently taken a tour of this community for my father and it was a pleasant experience. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions we had for them. I thought they had a nice floor plan with lots of great amenities for all of the residents. It was a nice place but just was not the right fit for him in the end decision.

A Place for Mom has scored Dublin Retirement Village 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
