We did the right thing at the right time and its here. One would hard pressed to find any place else as clean as Brookdale. EVERYONE here is very friendly, kind, caring, helpful FROM the housekeepers, caretakers, all in charge of dining including chefs, maître d's and servers, all maintenance, etc. TO the Executive Director and all who assist her in other executive positions. This would also include most all the other residents here. It takes working together when problems or disagreements occur; all done here amicably. From living in Independent Living, we have absolutely no complaints - that's our story and we're sticking to it! Are you kidding me? I would put Brookdale up against any other Senior Living Residence for food quality, presentation, eclectic selection and satisfaction. We would WIN every time. We can be as busy as we want to be; once in awhile we wish we had more "free" time. Cards, games, puzzles, chair volleyball, billiards, water aerobics, bingo, nightly movies, tailgates during season, kazoo band, choir, church services, flex your brain - just to name a few! You can see what I mean. We'll, you could say we "shopped around." Before making our decision we visited 6 other places; something kept drawing us back to Brookdale 3 times. My husband and I equate our choice like being on a "land cruise" - we have our own stateroom, activities daily, "happy hour" on Friday with "in house" or paid entertainment weekly, fantastic dining every evening with linens (read question 5 for my response), request the private dining room for an extra special occasion (in advance of course), out of town family can rest 1 of 2 or 3 guest rooms for a couple or several nights stay (also in advance) etc. If you have a car you are blessed; if not, you can get a ride.... There are a few areas that could be improved on, but based on the experience we have had so far with Brookdale Trillium Crossing we would absolutely, over and over again recommend this community to other families. It's a beautiful place, and my mom is very happy there.

I toured with Brookdale Trillium Crossing and they had a very long wait list. I also think that their business practices were shady.
Response from Brookdale Trillium Crossing
June 19, 2023We appreciate you taking the time to visit and are sorry to hear you feel this way. Our staff is committed to providing the highest-quality service and care and we will share your feedback with our management team.
1. My mom was constantly sick and in/out of the hospital while she was there. She has not been sick nor in/out of the hospital since she moved. 2. The cleaning service was lacking. 3. The apartment was filthy when we were moving her in. 4. Maintenance did not fix things properly. 5. The billing was terrible upon move out. They tried to assess a late charge when they were behind on some components of their billing, which is not the fault of the resident. 6. I think it may be a good place for some people & even great for others, but was not a good experience for us. 7. She might have had a better living experience on the assisted living side. However, the other issues would have still existed. I still don't know why she was constantly sick there, but as soon as she moved, she was no longer battling severe illness. 8. The resident garden should be wheelchair accessible. 9. They do a lot of parties and celebrations, which are nice. 10. They have happy hour which people seemed to really enjoy. 11. I hear the food is really good, especially if you don't have a limited diet. 12. Lots of resident outings 13. Happy hour is good 14. Happy hour is good 15. It has a pool which is nice 16. Parties, holidays and celebrations they do very well

June 13, 2023Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. By giving us your feedback, you are helping us to understand what we do well and what we could focus on improving. Please be assured your feedback will be reviewed and used to help better serve our residents and their families.
They have a year around heated pool for water aerobics and then a huge discount over their normal price to move in before the start of the month.. There is problems with billing, and understanding the meal plan. Most people are on different plans so it can be difficult getting accurate answers to questions. Overall, it's good.

At the age of 101, we were forced to transfer our mother to a different facility. We went through countless health and wellness directors and most of the aids who cared for our mother were hired on through agencies. That said, there was no consistency in her care which often resulted in mishandling her physically. Her skin is paper-thin, and she repeatedly was treated for skin tears. The care plan she was paying for was never fully implemented. We staged numerous care conferences, which never resulted in any follow through from staff or administration. As a result, we found it necessary to pay for personalized services which totaled about $2,000.00 monthly above and beyond what was billed to us monthly. Our mother was supported by the facility by providing her with only the rudimentary services. Beyond these, it was up to her family. If you are searching for an AL facility, I would strongly suggest you look beyond Brookdale Trillium.

May 26, 2023We take your comments seriously and are committed to providing quality care and services to our residents. Your feedback has been shared with our management team for review.
They told us that my loved one was a perfect fit for the facility so we got everything all set up and moved in. After about a week they told us that my loved one needed hospice and that they would not be able to accommodate the needs. We were only here about a week and they billed us for 2 months of services that were not used. We did end up getting our money back though.

The cleanliness of the community is 10 stars, it is spotless. The meals and dining service overall is okay, there are somethings our loved one is not the biggest fan of. Our loved one is financially comfortable here.

The food here is exceptional, our mother has a very picky pallet and she just raves about the food. The conditions of the apartments are excellent, the variety of activities and community events are really good. They have a pool with water aerobics which is fantastic, and they have assisted living on site so eventually our loved one will be needing that and she will not have to move communities. However our one complaint would just be with the house keeping, they say the residents get house keeping twice a month that is included in the rent, but it seems like they maybe are only there 10 minutes so I'm not sure how adequate or thorough of a job they are doing.

No one was pushy in the beginning while we were still looking and we really appreciated that. Out of the ones we looked at, Brookdale Trillium Crossing made us feel the most warm and fuzzy. There are plenty of activities provided, if you want to be busy you definitely can. The food could not be any better, the meals are chef prepared and it is very good. The servers are excellent and know you by name. I would definitely recommend to others and already have.

It's very hard to get in touch with the staff. Right now I have an outstanding billing issue. I call and leave a message, and they won't call me back. That's my main issue with them. Everybody is friendly though. They'll come out and say hi to you. Even the director comes out ands asks if I got a call back yet and says someone will call. But then they don't. The apartments are very nice though. They're clean and have new carpet, and they paint when somebody new moves in.

December 15, 2021We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and will review your feedback with our management team.
I'm not sure how Trillium treats their residents inside, but I know how they treat their on-site pond and the wildlife that makes their home at the pond.... DEVASTATINGLY poor. Another duck dead on the shore today after it's been eating in the pond's trash corner for a week. I've done my best to clean up Trillium's pond, voiced multiple concerns to Trillium's corporate office and local managers, & Trillium has done nothing to maintain their pond and refuses to hire professionals to clean it. It's not a nice sight to see for the residents and even worse when you get up close. While trying to pickup trash, the scent of death and decay was gut-wrenchiing. Plastic bags, styrofoam, & more were lining the water & under the water. We saw 3 dead baby ducks floating in the trash this day. When I spoke to the on-site manager, her concerns were about looks and she wanted the wildlife gone. This place doesn't care about the community, environment or animals. Please take your elder elsewhere.

August 10, 2021Brookdale is committed to the well-being of our residents and community, and we would like to thank you for taking the time to speak with our executive director regarding your concerns.
The tour was good and the community offers a good value for the money. The facility is neat, clean, and well taken care of. The staff is friendly and very nice and they have lots of activities going on for the residence. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

I do think the community is very clean, and the staff members are very friendly. They are starting to bring back their activities, and I do enjoy the activities they offer but to others they may seem a little boring.

We loved it here. I would go, even if you are on the line of what type of care your loved one may need. The community can handle residents in the more skilled nursing as well, in my opinion. The nursing staff was awesome. The food was good.

I would recommend this community. The lesson I've learned is that if you need to move a loved one; you should have a home to sell. The cost seems to have doubled from the transition of independent living to assisted living.

The facility was great before the pandemic except for the director she was not very nice. the accounting was not great, the first 3 months was wrong and we had to contact them to correct the issues. After covid, the food was not very good it delivered to our rooms and the had a very minimal breakfast. They have lots of things to do including an indoor pool and a whirlpool. I would recommend this facility because the director is leaving.

We chose Brookdale Trillium because we liked the location, we liked what they provided, and word of mouth. They are gradually bringing more things back and opening things up since the pandemic had began. We are able to eat one day a week in the dining room as of right now and they are gradually trying to increase that. There was one case of COVID in early April, but have been none since. No one is able to come in but we have been doing 30 minute visits with loved ones. They are doing great at protecting all of the residents here. I would recommend.

Extremely nice facility with a very knowledgeable individual conducting the tour. This is being considered for my mother. The pricing info you provided was incorrect. Initial fee is one month's rent in lieu of $1500 and the rent begins @ $4545, not $4250 as quoted.

The thing we worried about the most, was whether dad would be happy in an assisted living environment. To our great joy, dad is very happy! In fact, he says he's much happier than he thought he'd be. He loves the food (which is awesome), and he made new friends quickly. He's much more active than he was living alone in his huge house. The staff are fantastic, both medical and the "service" staff. They're very good about keeping me up to date on dad, and take excellent care of his needs. The facility is a VERY professional looking, and is especially easy for family members to visit, dine, and participate as they wish. We couldn't be happier with the choice we made, after visiting several facilities in the local area.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score.
