Response from The Forum at Knightsbridge
August 25, 2023Thank you for sharing this feedback. We're glad to read that our team went the extra mile to provide solutions that fit your brother's needs.
The independent living portion is nice and care is good. Stay away from the assisted living portion! Completely understaffed! Takes over 2 hours to get a response to a pushed medical alert from resident. This could be life or death if a situation isn’t responded to in a timely manner.

August 11, 2023Thanks for your feedback on life at The Forum at Knightsbridge. It was wonderful to read that your experience is worthy of 5-stars and we appreciate your kind words about the team who works here as well as the amazing residents who call The Forum their home.
It’s not easy to rate by number…I haven’t been there in person, although I’m very involved from afar and talk to my sister often. I’ve also had a few phone exchanges with a couple of helpful staff members. My other sister also feels encouraged, and traveled there to spend some time in person. This emotional situation is very new for us and there will be a long learning curve. Nothing is perfect, so I won’t say “5” yet, but a solid 4 or maybe even 4+ so far!

May 26, 2023Thanks for sharing your feedback. We're glad to know our team has been extremely helpful as your family goes through this life transition. Please let us know if you ever have any questions or concerns as we are committed to ensuring each resident and family have a 5 star experience at The Forum at Knightsbridge.
This was a nice community but the prices were a little higher than other communities. It was really expensive and did not have as many activities and things to do as another community that I was looking at and the location was also further. The community was not bad at all there was just another community that worked out better for my loved one.

My mother lived almost 5 years at The Forum. She was first in Independent and later Ambassador. The staff consists of the most caring, qualified professionals. Especially during this time of Covid they went above and beyond to keep her safe and happy. I am so grateful for her excellent.

Response from The Forum at Knightsbridge
March 11, 2021Sarah, thank you so much for your kind words about our community. We love that your Mother made her home at The Forum for almost 5 years. Your description of the team's caring nature will surely bring a smile to their (masked) faces. We're grateful that you've mentioned our COVID precautions as we are dedicated to both the health and happiness of our residents, and appreciate the recognition of that hard -- but rewarding -- work.
My mother-in-law was there after a trip to the hospital for rehabilitation. Never have I nor my family been treated with more disrespect in our lives. My family member received a phone call one morning that the nurse found her on the floor when she checked on her. How does this happen when her bed had side rails I will never understand. We were told that she was refusing PT and not participating. They then kept pushing us to get her out of there since they could no longer get any money from Medicare. [Name removed] the social worker and [name removed] the nurse manager actually yelled at us over the phone and would not even allow us to finish a sentence. [Name removed] actually lied about a conversation she had with my family member previously. Then [name removed] told us if we did not have arrangements made by the time they were discharging her that we would have to pay a full month's rent to keep her there even if we were only going to keep her there a few extra days. They would reimburse us at some point for the money not used. We do not have that kind of money to have them hold it until they could pay us back. They told the home health nurse that she was a two person lift and incontinent. When she returned home she got up and walked with help to the bathroom. She have never once been incontinent since she returned home. We feel like they never even attempted any kind of treatment and they were just collecting a payment from Medicare. I would never recommend this facility for anyone.

My relative lives at the Forum in assisted living. The Forum is not a clean facility and I do not feel that the care is adequate. The apartment unit always smells badly. We try to maintain cleanliness in the apartment and we ask the staff to assist as well but they do not. The unit continues to be dirty and smelly. The staff launders clothes that often we never get back. Instead of actually cleaning the bathroom, they will wipe here and there with a clorox wipe for one minute and leave the room. I do not recommend this facility for your family member if he or she requires a lot of help. We are investigating other living arrangements. The independent living area is probably fine as a resident can do more for themselves and are more aware. As a positive, I do think that the activities presented to residents are fun and engaging. As a whole, from what I see, the staff the friendly.

May 3, 2018I am the Executive Director and I am sincerely interested in your comments. Our goal is to provide a warm and inviting residence and was disappointed to hear you did not feel that way. My door is always open so please contact me, as the satisfaction of all of our residents and families is very important to me and to our entire team.
My in-laws have been living at the Forum for about a month now. They are comfortable in their independent living apartment (good space & windows for natural light!). They are starting to get to know others - a very friendly community. They are also starting to participate in some of the many outings and activities offered at the Forum. They also appreciate being in a community with a continuum of care.

My mother is doing well here at this community. Everything has worked out well, and I'am satisfied. The community is nice and well maintained. The staff is good, they are caring for her well. There are activities offered for her when she ready to participate. It has been good experience, and I would recommend this community.

My mother lived at The Forum the last years of her life and it was just wonderful. She started out in Independent Living and the staff and other residents were so interactive that she really enjoyed it. After a fall, she spent time in the rehab/Healthcare and had excellent care and physical therapy. She then moved to Ambassador Suites/intermediate memory care. I was concerned about this transition but, again, such wonderful and caring people made it easy. Another fall and another stay in Rehab; another experience with the kind and skilled staff. From there she went to a short stay in Bridges which is a higher level of care. She had such caring people; I can't emphasize that enough. She peacefully passed away with family, hospice, and The Forum at her side.

This was not a good fit for our mom. We thought she'd have a lot more attention than she did. She spent a lot of time in her apartment, alone. Therapy was delayed. Granted there were holidays involved. She's at home with around the clock care and is happy.

My loved one came here after a fall for rehab. It was okay, but she fell when she was here. It was clean, and the staff was friendly. We didn't have any concerns exactly, she seemed to fall no matter where she was.

My father was first put with a patient that we were later told never is roomed with anyone due to the severity of his condition. After a miserable and sleepless night he was moved but his confidence in the facility was rightfully shaken. The next night he waited for over an hour to have assistance to the toilet and was told that he'd just have to wait as the technician had 18 patients and pooping wasn't a priority. The stress was great on his fragile system and we went back to the hospital the next day. The nurses who had cared for him before Knightsbridge were shocked at the damage 48 hours had done. I would never suggest this place. It looks nice and the food is good. If you can care for yourself then it might be a good choice. But it us NOT a good choice for medical assistance of any kind. And the attitude that the nurses gave us when we decided to take him back to OSU was horrendous. You would think we were dipping directly into their pay! They told us to ignore his 'antics' and go home. I don't think needing help to breath or get to a toilet is antics. Those nurses need continuing education in compassion. They will grow old and require assisted too. I hope they get exactly what they've given.

The nursing home part of this community was excellent. My loved one wasn’t there very long, but the staff was very friendly and it was clean. The care was excellent. My loved one was planning on going into the independent living, but unfortunately, that never got to happen.

We really liked this community, but they didn’t have a pool. If they’d had a pool, I might have picked them. I really liked them very much, but my son pointed out the pool, and that made my mind up. I’d still give them a five all the way down though.

This is a beautiful community that is very clean and up-to-date. The facilities are light-filled and lovely. They provide three meals per day unlike many other communities that only provide one or two. They have many different apartment lay-outs to choose from.
