Promises not met

They have been very short staffed, so a lot of things are being promised without being delivered. There has been a lot of turnover with employment. As far as their food menu, it is very generic and I do not think they accommodate the residents as much as they should.

Friendly Community

It is a nice friendly community. I would recommend you listen carefully to what the monthly payment will be for you. My loved one loves the food. The staff is very friendly, and are good to work with the family. The staff is always smiling.

Rated this facility at 3.4/5.0 based on my criteria. Good COVD and security checks. Facility is modern but commons areas are small. Exterior is very nice, private and quiet. Diversity noted among staff and residents. Residents appeared to be more active, not as many wheelchairs as noted in other facilities. Individualized care program set up for each resident (not using the 4 Level approach)

My family has decided to place my Mom in Brookdale when she's released from rehab. Brooke has been very helpful with us in making this choice. Thanks also to [name removed], A Place for Mom, for all her help.

memory care for dementia patient who needs full care

The staff has turnover but that happens at every facility. The communication between the staff and the family is very good. They keep us informed and they help us with face time to visit. I would recommend this community to others. The community was open to feedback and was able to adjust to the care needed for my loved one.

Brookdale is the Place To Go For Memory Care Issues

I am very pleased with the way they have cared for my loved one. The staff has been exceptional to work with. They will call back with answers to your questions or concerns.

Love it!

The facility itself is beautiful and the people are wonderful! On his first night there, my father (who has dementia) said, “This is a gorgeous hotel! How long are we booked here?” The delicious meals are served restaurant style, with snack and hydration stations placed strategically throughout. The landscaping is lovely, and the Salisbury location is quiet, safe and peaceful.

I found this facility to be one of the nicest that I have visited. the distance and the cost are a concern.

Firsthand testimonial

My Mom has been at Brookdale for four months. First respite care, then assisted living then memory care. These rapid living transitions were handled efficiently and well by Brookdale staff. Every facet of care has been conscientious and kind. Staff members are proactive to look for solutions to small problems. They strive to improve my mother's day to day life enjoyment and safety. The new chef makes great food and [Removed] plans fabulous activities and outings. It gives me peace of mind to know that caring people are frequently checking on my Mom in her room and encouraging her to get involved in activities. We're very happy! PS - this was not my experience a few years ago with my mother-in-law at Brookdale but the all-new staff has transformed the quality of care.
