Assisted living communities provide organized living communities and health care to people who might require support with things such as preparing meals or dressing. Assisted living communities usually offer supervision of care, opportunities for recreational activity, and support with the activities of daily life. There must be one toilet for every 1 residents and one bath or shower for every residents. The maximum occupancy is 1 residents per room. This type of community is required to have a staff member on duty 24 hours a day.
