Karen's Board and Care

Great staff. Very nice and very caring. As far as the food goes, I think they need more of a variety. For activities, I would like to see the residents outside more.

They do have a shared room available.

Nobody's perfect and there is an adjustment period, they're very friendly, part of the probnlem is though,. their primary langage is filipino so its a little ahrd to understand them but theyre very nice and very friendly and I'm definitely pleased with the level of care he's recieving. We figured it out eventually, but it got to where it needed to go. They try to get him to do things, they get him up for his meals, they're doing it to where his status is and he's not going to do anything he doesn't want to. I don't have to go there and visit him to make sure everythings done, hes obiously very comfortable and very clean, its the cleanest place ive ever seen. There's no urine smell, theres no old person smell, theres not even a perfumey smell to cover up those smells or the smell of cleaning products, its a legitmate clean.

The main reason we chose Karen's Board and Care over other places we looked was because of the overall value. The staff are very nice people that take good care of my Mother- in- law.

One of the major reasons why I chose this particular place for my friend is because the owner's wife is a registered nurse which made me feel confident that my friend would be getting looked after the right way. She really enjoys being there the caretakers are friendly and nice. My friend is always saying how she likes the food there. She is getting the one on one personal attention she needs so I am very happy with the choice I made.

My family and loved one won't recommend the community to others. We didn't have a good experience having our loved one in the care of Karen's Board and Care. In fact I wouldn't leave your ones here. I wouldn't even allow my dog retire here.
