In 2003, the Village at Allandale, formerly Kingsport Senior House, opened its doors as Kingsport Senior House, a single home for 26 seniors. The 2010 expansion added two family oriented homes with 26 elders residing in each. Today, we are proud to be the only assisted living facility in the area to offer the innovative nationwide trend of smaller homes rather than a traditional, larger medical facility for elder housing. In addition to resident rooms, each building has a friendly kitchen, dining room and comfortable living/family room. Research indicates that people feel more at home and like a family in these smaller homes and relationships truly blossoms! This warm atmosphere combats the symptoms of loneliness, helplessness, and boredom that face the senior population today.<br><br>Our Mission- The Village at Allandale, formerly Kingsport Senior House, is a community committed to enhancing the quality of life of elders in a supportive, loving, happy home were their independence, dignity, respect, preferences, and family relationships are honored.
