Comfortable Place for Mom
What our family likes the most about The Delaney at Georgetown Village is the overall friendliness of the staff members as well as the residents living here. They are all very welcoming and we would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

Overall a good community, my loved one is happy
Everything is good except food. One of the reasons I placed my wife here was quality food. I found when I moved in was not only had the food declined in quality, but the head of food service gave lip service to complaints but did not follow-up or make changes based on resident input.

Wonderful and caring home
We picked this community because of, the location,amenities, and meal plan. It's very welcoming, was an easy transition, good communication, and they are very patient with the residents.

Next Best Place To Home
The dining room service, and all the staff are super nice. I trust the community to take care of my loved one. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones as well. You can tell they really tell they care about the residents.
Cable, utilities, 300 points for food, housekeeping, maintenance, transportation, and room is included in the monthly fee. The independent living have washer and dryer, and a full kitchen in the apartments.
My loved one loves the food, there is a wide selection of food, and it is delicious tasting. There are lots of outdoor space available for walking, sitting areas, gardening area, and porches.
Plays, lunches outside of the community, bingo, dominos, poker, happy hour, movies, singing of hymns, bible study, arts and crafts, service projects, and more are some of the activities for the residents to choose from.

This community was smaller but the lady that showed us the community did not really sell it. She just seemed to be distracted and nothing stood out for us. The community was nice and overall the tour was okay but we just did not get that right feeling at this community. The elevator also made us nervous at this community.

My mother is doing very well here. She is in the memory care side of the facility and I feel like they have a unique kind of approach that was different than other facilities we have looked at. They look at the whole person and see what they are good at and finds activities that are more purposeful and meaningful. They were especially good about this with my mother because she was not doing well with assisted living but was not quite ready for memory care. They had her set the tables, she has her own job title as resident aid, helped gardening, etc. They have a chicken run in the courtyard and she is able to pick them up and help get the eggs. They have a facility dog named George and she helps to take him out and things like that. Overall it has been a really good experience for us.

We really like how attentive and accommodating the staff have continued to be. We visited other communities and those communities just did not seem as mature as this one. There is so much to learn when this is your first experience, we think they would really benefit by giving families tips with all collected information they have received from other families - almost like a guideline sheet.

Our family had an in person tour and we absolutely loved The Delaney we wanted out loved one to go there, but what it boiled down to was the price. IT was just to expensive for us.

My Mother, [name removed], has lived in The Delaney for 1-1/2 years. Mother is 99 years old. As an only child I was needing some assistance in Mothers Care. Thankfully, I found The Delaney.
I cannot say enough about the care she receives. She started out in Independent Living, had to move to Assisted Living, and now in Memory Care. With every move the Staff was so helpful and made sure the change went smoothly. For the first time in two years, I can leave town without worrying about her care. Management is top notch ?? I can depend on them to answer my calls at any time, or get back in a timely manner. They bring in such quality entertainment for the residents. Elvis was in the house!! And the residents loved every minute of it.

Excellent care
After touring numerous facilities a year ago and deciding on The Delaney at Georgetown Village, even a year later I am so happy with our decision! My mother has dementia and the care is impeccable! I would highly recommend The Delaney as I have not had a concern since placing her there. Everyone on the staff from housekeeping all the way to the Director will go above and beyond!! Best decision we ever made.
