Summerplace View AFH is a retirement community and assisted living community based in Portland, Oregon. As one of the area's top choices for memory care, we want you to have some freedom when your loved one begins exhibiting the symptoms of Alzheimer's or dementia. When you decide that your loved one can no longer live on his or her own, we're here to help. Our retirement community has daily and weekly activities available for all of our residents. Many of our residents like sitting outside on warm and sunny days, and we have workers who enjoy taking walks with our more active residents. Those active residents can also enjoy other activities, including dances in the common room and exercises classes both inside and outside. We also boast fun activities like arts and crafts projects, and our residents can also play games with their family and friends in our common areas. Families of our residents love knowing that our facility is just a short drive from one of Portland's best hospitals and that we have a crew of doctors on our speed dial. We also have nurses on staff, and those nurses can provide help when residents suffer minor injuries or illnesses. As a memory care facility, we offer different types of therapy that help those with memory conditions. We also keep a close eye on those residents and offer special features for their rooms including door and bed alarms. Summerplace View AFH is perfect for elderly people with memory problems or limited mobility and more active older people too.
