Would recommend Meadowbrook to others
I would move my mom into Meadowbrook again if I had to. It is very conveniently located to the hospital which is nice. Whenever we called them they were quick to answer and I think she got good, personalized care here. They really knew my mom and knew what was going on with her. They tried really hard to get medication down my mom and tried their hardest to make her eat. Overall, I would recommend them to others looking.

Peace of Mind
My mother was an underweight, confused, angry woman before Meadowbrook.
The genuine kindness and patience of the staff has made a huge difference.
[names removed] and the rest of the staff take such good care of mom. How they maintain to be so kind all the time is amazing.
My mother is in the Memory Care Unit.
I can't explain how much it means to know my mother is getting such excellent care. She eats regular nutritious, varied, tasty meals, receives her meds on time, lives in a clean, kind environment. She's safe.
All I can say is thank you from our whole family.
We got very lucky when we found Meadowbrook.

My mother lived at Meadowbrook for a short time before her death. Our family had a wonderful experience during her stay. The layout and main room of the building where the residents eat is open, airy and bright. The employees go above and beyond to give residents personal care and everyone from the maintenance crew to the kitchen staff help out when patients need assistance. If you are looking for a small, homey place where people are kind and caring you will love it at Meadowbrook.

Be careful
no activities - they have them posted- but do not actually do them. I guess it makes them look like they care when in reality it's a horrible facility. Do not even try to get patients to eat. They sit the plate in front of them, which some cannot pick up a spoon, walk away. Hour later if you didn't eat , plate gets taken away. No stimulus for patients just sit and stare

Angels of Meadowbrook
My mother suffered from Alzheimer's. It was a heart-wrenching and difficult decision to place her into a care facility. But for her safety we chose to do so and Meadowbrook made that possible. We visited many nursing homes where during the middle of the day all the patients were drugged up sleeping and incapacitated I guess that makes them easy to care for. Not at Meadowbrook this place was full of life. Unfortunately due to our terrible system in the way that the America treats the hourly my mother for the first time in 80 years had actually go on Medicaid so she could be put into a nursing home. I was very concerned that the patients on Medicaid would be treated differently. Not the case here if you have a million dollars or your normal person that's worked your whole life they treat you the same. When she began to actively die on sister that she would not be alone so they actually moved her into another room with the second bed so my father could be by her bedside at all times. At no extra charge they fed him all three meals a day and let him stay there for the three last days of her life. Because of Meadowbrook my mother was able to cross over holding the hand of her soulmate. If that's not enough for you to make the decision to place a loved one into Meadowbrook I don't know what else you would need. To the staff there my mother was [Removed] not patient number 47.

Clean, friendly staff, low turnover rate. Hospital type rooms, bathing assistance-shower room 1 at a time, 2-3 times per week. Doctors, podiatrist come into facility. 1 level. Mom seems between assisted living and dementia wing. 2nd visit to take pictures. Saw higher functioning clients out in lobby playing cards, reading paper/ magazines. Have medicaid program. Head of nursing said several in assisted have dentia, not severe enough to move them to dementia unit. Meds are delivered to client includes client picture id to make sure right meds go to right client. The Director said Mom could go in private pay then to medicaid until house sold then go back to private pay until spend down is complete then back to medicaid.
