It was a big move for her - losing my father and moving to a new state after 60 years. The Fellowship from day one was warm and welcoming I was so impressed by the attention and kind of communication I had with the nurses and staff - they were thinking about my mother in a creative and holistic way. Now. Just under four months later, my Mom is a part of reading groups and games and is looking at taking up knitting and working with a class to write her memoirs. There are musical offerings and even plays that come up, and the Fellowship’s proximity to two schools means that children come through to sing and help out. My Mom’s room looks out onto peaceful woods, and she feels safe and comfortable in her space. The fellowship is cheaper than the location I had my mother and father living before - but the care is much more aware of each individual.
