Awful
My 89 year old father developed Alzheimer’s while residing here and now that he has to move out [name removed] insists he will have to pay over [amount removed]k to get out of his lease (two months rent plus a two months early termination fee). However, when I signed his new lease I discussed this with the old manager, [name removed], and she said I’d simply need a note from his doctor to get him out of his lease. I knew at that time my dad likely wouldn’t be able to stay for the duration of his lease. However, [name removed] is a mean woman. She yelled at me on the phone yesterday screaming over and over again about the lease and asking if I’d read it. I’m in the trenches of alzheimers with my dad and fearful of his safety, but I guess [name removed] doesn’t care about the people who reside in [name removed] but rather her bottom line is about the money. My father is no longer safe to live on his own and is a flight risk - I sent a letter from my dad’s doctor to [name removed] as proof but she still wants her [amount removed]k.

Rip off
During the several years my father lived here, he was largely dissatisfied with the way the place was operated. Far worse, when his health declined and he had to move, he was treated dishonestly and dishonorably. Management kept a portion of his security deposit in clear violation of the terms of his lease. My only recourse to recover the ill gotten money is filing in small claims court while living across the country. The folks running Diamond Oaks should be ashamed.

Our experience at Diamond Oaks Village.
We have only been at Diamond Oaks Village since [date removed] but so far it has lived up to our expectations in what we were looking for. The staff have been truly accommodating to any questions/needs we may have. Like our apartment very much. [Name removed]

This is a brand new community as well. [Removed] was very nice and so was the community, it is small. The room offered in her price range was a bit small but manageable. They do not offer the amenities like most other "independent living" communities do that we are looking for. Food and housekeeping are extra charges. I would not consider this a true IL community.

My new home
I am glad that I moved into a nice community with a great staff that is caring and helpful at all times. The community is clean and has a nice atmosphere. The menu of the meals great with a nice good variety. I like participating with the other residents with the many activities that are available I would recommend this community for the good value to others.

about Diamond Oaks Village

Diamond Oaks Village offers 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedrooms. Learn more.

A Place for Mom has scored Diamond Oaks Village 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
