A nursing home offers residence to two or more individuals who are not related by marriage or by blood to the administrator. A nursing home facility offers its occupants around-the-clock care by registered nurses. A large number of nursing home residents are persons who experience difficulty seeing and hearing, have mental or physical disabilities, have incontinence issues, or require assistance with daily tasks such as walking.
