A great Supportive Living option

Both the staff and the residents at Lacey Creek are very friendly and welcoming. The food is good, I would like to see more fresh options. There is limited outdoor space. Location was great for us. The fact that they are Supportive Living and my mom can spend down and go onto Medicaid while remaining at the community was a big factor for us. It is a very nice place. We were looking forward to the socialization of her being able to share meals and activities with friends. Now with the quarantine they are all in their rooms which is hard. I hope this is over soon.

I thought the facility was very nice. I liked the fact that the residents are included in decisions and daily planning. Dining area very nice - food looked good, choices can be made. Everything was very clean & orderly They also have a theater room to show movies. Residents looked happy & staff was friendly. Based on my observations I would give a 5 star rating.

Not so sure

The good things first: Lacey Creek is a newer facility that is clean and well kept. The rooms are spacious and in good condition. There are activities to keep residents busy. The not so good: Medication errors: My family member experienced medication errors several times ( in regards to amount and dosages). This I see as most troublesome. While most of the staff are pleasant, there are some who have been abrupt and rude. The building, although new, has had a breakdown of its elevators, which led to residents not being able to do some of the activities they like.

New facility with some disappointments

At first, I was very excited about my mom finding a facility that is fairly new and not extremely far from me. My excitement has worn off as I am beginning to see some of the faults of this place. A major issue was that the staff who are supposedly managing her meds have messed up her pills and dosages several times even after my mom informed them of the correct dosing. Very disappointing, not to mention downright dangerous, as many elderly take heart medication. Another disappointment is the staff. My mother went to the health staff office once as she wasn’t feeling well, only to be treated rudely and without compassion. I have seen staff hanging out chatting or on their phones, seems to be the norm nowadays. Although the building itself is fairly new, a set of elevators broke down almost 2 months ago and has not yet been fixed. The residents used to be able to go to the library, beauty salon, use the exercise room and watch movies in a theater in the lower level of that building. Since the elevators have broken dowm, they lost access to those activities. Disappointing considering the 5,000 per month they ask for staying there. Food quality is average to less than average. Overall, disappointing.

Clean. Residents didn't appear interactive. Heather was knowledgeable. Mom wasn't thrilled. Distance was greater than [name removed].

Settling In

Lacey Creek Supportive Living is a beautiful brand new facility. Mom is settling in and still acclimating to her new surroundings. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff is very welcoming to us when we come to visit mom. The staff is very friendly and attentive to my mom's care needs. The staff is easy to communicate any questions or concerns regarding my mom's needs. I have not had a chance to dine there with my mom but I've seen the meals prepared and the meals they serve look good. I love the place, people are out and about and look happy. They do offer activities for the residents. They also provide transportation to go to doctor appointments, shopping trips, and other excursions. There is no sitting area in the front but there is a nice patio area in the back to get out and enjoy the fresh air. I would recommend this community to see if it's the right fit for their loved one.
