be careful

The aids did a great job and worked hard for my loved one. Management was not receptive and did not do an evaluation when we first arrived. We never had a chance to speak with them about what our loved one is capable to do and what type of help was needed. My loved one fell 2 days after she arrived. I would not recommend this community to others.

Mom is Much More Safe and Happy Here

I would tell others that my loved one is here, and I wouldn't have her just any place. It is a friendly place to be, with lots of activities. I feel my loved ones is safe and happier than the previous place. The big complaint about the food is not an option for a low salt diet. The food is good though.

My experience

The community was very nice and they went above and beyond to take extra care of my loved one. Communication could have been a little bit better. I feel like I should have been informed about some things I was not. The community is clean and I would recommend this community to others.

The tour was excellent and the young lady was very knowledgeable. I believe it was [name removed] that actually did the tour.

Finished the tour. Loved the dining area and bedroom set up is one large room with bedroom and living room area but no separate bedroom. Not seeing this option in any of the memory care? Overall not as likeable as San Jose Gardens. They are keeping patients under quarantine for 14 days regardless of COVID negative testing(although [name removed] is checking into this). All meals are in their room, which is not conducive to my grandmother's cognitive status right now and we all have no idea when this COVID crap will be lifted so not really willing to go backwards again and have her eating in her room alone. Even when COVID lifted, No community outings except for on campus at ALF or other Atrium centers. Really nice setting and small and intimate but patients are too secluded for her at this point in her dementia.

Never want to leave

I like living here and never want to leave. I use the transportation to go play golf when I want to. I have made a lot of new friends and like that we’re all in the same place. I’m well taken care of and the staff is friendly to me. I have everything I need right here and that’s convenient.

Friendly staff

I really enjoy living here and the staff & residents are friendly. The staff is always naturally helpful and they know me by name, which is nice. I have nice living quarters and like to sit out in my sunroom. We have good food, and I really like the Bingo and happy hour. My kids visit when they want to and they like having me here. The community is comfortable and it is my home.

Homey atmosphere

Moving to Brookdale Atrium Way was the best thing I ever did for myself. I felt at home the minute I walked in to visit the community, it has such a homey atmosphere. The staff is friendly & caring and takes the time to get to know the residents, call them by name, smile, and speak to them. There is always something to do, I’ve never had so much fun in my life and there are plenty of opportunities to stay involved. Brookdale Atrium Way is a very encouraging place and I love that it’s a pet friendly place, I have both of my cats and they love sitting out on the balcony in their kitty condo.
