Our family had an in person tour and the tour experience was nice
I'm truly not impressed though with their rehab side… Do to them letting Him fall out of bed twice in a matter of hours and getting the brain bleed. It hadn't been for me calling three times to check on him that morning after had fallen that evening before I wouldn't of even known he was at Memorial Hosp.
I would advise others to look somewhere else because my dad isn't satisfied with Fountains Residences at Mill Cove. What made him want to be there is they said they go fishing every Friday and that's never happened. He complains about the help, she's very rude and mean. Someone else said the same thing too. He needed help with his TV, and they wouldn't do it. He's in independent living, but they or their maintenance department should've been able to help still. I've tried to voice our concerns and I didn't get anywhere. There's so many people to go through and they said they'd look into it, but never did - so I just gave up. Communication overall is just fair, not particularly good. Dad does not like the food. He says once out of the entire week he might like what they're having, but outside of that it has no taste or seasoning. He does have a nice place with a kitchenette. Fountains Residences at Mill Cove really needs to improve on their activities, a better food menu, and being more kind to the residents. Make sure the staff are always kind, because the people there are already sick and don't need to be mistreated.
I chose Fountains Residence at Mill Cove mainly because of the overall atmosphere, environment and the affordability compared to others I looked at. Everyone is so friendly here and the facility is super clean. I would recommend them to others looking, it has been a good experience.
We like the price of the community and all the different activities they offer. We see a list of different activities up on a board so it is nice to see what they have planned. Based on our experience so far with Fountains Residence we would recommend this community to other families.
This was a horrible experience for us. I had to remove my loved one from the community due to the poor quality of care that the staff performed. The level of professionalism isn't there. They wouldn't make sure my loved one was kept clean. My loved one was beat up four different times in a three week time period. There was no follow up by the community, even after the family asked for this. There is a long list of issues I have had with the community and they never followed up with these concerns. They processed a charge for a full month, and we weren't there for a full month. The activities director transitioned out of the community and they now have a spouse volunteering their time to do the activities. [name removed] has been unprofessional and rude to the family during this entire process.
When it comes to the overall quality of care services provided at the Fountains they are doing a good job and they are keeping our loved one busy with activities. The friendliness of the staff team just really stood out to us from the beginning and based on our experience so far, we would recommend the Fountains Residence t Mill Cove to over families.
The intake process and the individual we worked closely with in the beginning was just so great, helpful and flexible. The value for the money is great and based on our experience so far with the Fountains we would absolutely recommend this community to other families .
The value for the money is amazing compared to others that we looked into. The facility feels more like a campus, it is bright and happy and the residents are all out and about interacting with each other. It is in a very good location and is around a lot of things such as dentists, medical facilities, grocery stores, etc. There is also plenty of parking. Overall it is a great facility and I would absolutely recommend them.
At night it is a free for all. Nurse “[name removed]” gave my grandmother the wrong medications almost twice and had trouble identifying her. CNA [name removed] called my mother stupid, trash, etc for asking to help out her in bed after sitting in a wet diaper for 4 hours. CNA [name removed] stated “You lied on [name removed]”. Very dangerous atmosphere. During the day totally different! Pt/Ot is great the only positive. Don’t send loved ones here !
This is a nice place. The services all stand out to me. The food is good. Some of the activities available include going on city tour, games, entertainment, and more for the residents to choose from.
It's a great place. They've had some challenges, as most places have due to Covid. But they've handled it very well and stayed on top of it. I always felt like Mom was very safe. The staff is great, from the sales person when we first looked into Fountains, to all of her aides and nurses. They've all been wonderful. Mom loves the food, and that's coming from a really good cook. Not every meal is perfect, but overall she's really happy with the food. They provide a lot of opportunities for activities. Recently they had a guy come in and play guitar for Oldies karaoke, and they served red wine and beer, which I thought was a great time. The value here is excellent. It's an older facility, and It used to be called The Atrium. Some places we looked at were brand new and shiny, and you felt like you were in a hotel. Fountains feels more like you're in someone's home. And to me that made all the difference. That type of setting isn't for everybody, but I like that about it for Mom. They have all the Fall decorations up, and it's really very inviting and welcoming. It's a great setting. It sits over little canals that run under and through the buildings with bridges crossing over them. It's a really cool place. The sales director connected me to a place called Caring Transitions since we live out of state. They've been a godsend. They provided services to help clear mom's home and run an estate sale. They took care of everything, and their fee was very reasonable. They also have a moving service and moved mom. And they have a realtor service as well. It's truly a one stop shop, and it was perfect for us. They're very friendly, caring people, and I appreciated the folks at Fountains connecting me to that service.
The community provides safety and the staff will help with anything needed. The food looks good and they are doing some activities. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
Our tour here was fine, and the facility was very nice. The biggest reason we didn't choose them was their location in the city. We just didn’t care for Arlington area. But the facility was in great shape and well taken care of. The staff was good, and they had a good offering of activities.
I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff are very friendly, and spend a bit amount of time with the residents. This keeps the residents engaged and active. Pets are allowed in the community. There are exercise classes, bingo, gardening, and more for activities for the residents to participate in.
They've been really great. I haven't really had any issues. Visiting has always been really great. I feel like they treat my loved one respectfully. There was a situation that came up that they handled really well. Overall I think it's a great place for her. My loved one is not thrilled with the food, but the activities are great. There's always something going on. I would definitely recommend them to other family members and friends.
The aids did a great job and worked hard for my loved one. Management was not receptive and did not do an evaluation when we first arrived. We never had a chance to speak with them about what our loved one is capable to do and what type of help was needed. My loved one fell 2 days after she arrived. I would not recommend this community to others.
I would tell others that my loved one is here, and I wouldn't have her just any place. It is a friendly place to be, with lots of activities. I feel my loved ones is safe and happier than the previous place. The big complaint about the food is not an option for a low salt diet. The food is good though.
The community was very nice and they went above and beyond to take extra care of my loved one. Communication could have been a little bit better. I feel like I should have been informed about some things I was not. The community is clean and I would recommend this community to others.
