Our family was not impressed with our loved ones experience. The rooms were very dark, the apartments only had two windows. The parking was terrible for someone with a disability. It was hard for our step father to get into the building with the incline and they were just not very accommodating or helpful. When our step father was moving out, that is when the staff were offering up better rooms with better lighting and views and a better value. Just not impressive.

March 16, 2022We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and are sorry to hear you feel this way. Our staff is committed to providing the highest-quality service and care for each resident and we will share your concerns with our management team for review.
There are taking very good care of my loved one. It seems a bit pricey. Other than that we are good.
I loved that the resident could stay in their apartment and the services came to them when they needed to transition from independent living to assisted living. It was far more resident friendly and patient centered. That was a big reason that we chose them, it was far less disruptive for my mom.
This community has been great to work with so far. I whole heartily recommend that anyone consider this community as a home. I have had family as well as clients work with Brookdale and they have all been pleased.
We chose Brookdale because my mom wanted to stay in this area and we were impressed by the condition the facility was kept in. The rooms she was shown that were available were also very nice and well presented. We had a great sales pitch about how wonderful the food is and that has been the only disappointment. They have gone through many different cooks and the food service has been very slow which causes the food to be cold and they have run out of things as well. I think they could improve the food quality and variety. Overall she has been very happy here especially with the social aspect. It is in a nice area with a pond and they have a nice walking path that she loves to take advantage of when the weather is nice. I would recommend to others who are looking.
We chose Brookdale Gables Farmington because of the location as well as the nice setting in a wooded area. The apartment sizes here are pretty good for what he needs. He does enjoy the food that is served. I would recommend to others
We had a virtual tour where they walked around with a phone camera to show us around, which was interesting. I thought the rooms seemed a little small. It was a nice place, and the lady who did the tour was very friendly.

October 1, 2021Thank you for taking a virtual tour of the community and providing feedback. We would welcome an opportunity to further discuss your experience and encourage you to reach out to our management team.
My loved one likes the meals. Overall it is a good community, seems to be a safe place. There has been a lot of turn over recently, but the staff that are there are good. It is just hard to get things started when there are always a change of people.
The biggest problem that I've had with them is a cross-communication. They have certain additional costs, and from my perspective, they need to make those clearer. I'm not saying that they hide things - they just need to make things clearer. They require that you use Omnicare as your pharmacy, which wasn't clearly explained to me. Overall, they really try. They make appointments for my friend and do what they can to help. They have a variety of room options at different price points, so they can accommodate people with all sorts of wants and needs. It doesn't smell like a hospital or like bleach everywhere. It's a nice place.
The apartment size that we have at Brookdale Gables Farmington is beautiful, we have a patio that is right by the water. The meals here are excellent, they are chef prepared. I talk to the chef, he walks around and talks to the residents and he is very good. They are still restricted on activities due covid, so I am excited for things to open up fully. I would recommend to other looking.
scheduled tour with [name removed]. ZOOM tour went very well. [name removed] did an excellent presentation and [name removed] rendered great information as well. Looking forward to getting back to them next week.
We had an excellent tour here, pre-Covid. The person we met with was excellent, very knowledgeable, and very kind to us. He paid attention to my loved one, and directed his attention to her and her experience, which I appreciated. He spent time with us, took us all around, answered all of our questions, served us some wine and horderves. He was very kind and attentive. The only reason we didn't end up here was the price - it was more expensive than another contender.
We chose Brookdale Gables Farmington primarily because of the grounds, they were beautiful. The rooms here were also bigger than others we looked into. It is an older building, so there have been some issues with power, heat/ac, etc. Overall, I would recommend to others looking.
The community is clean. The staff does a good job and they are friendly. If I had an appointment, I wish they would have left me a message, because they wouldn't call or leave a message, I would have to visit the front desk. The food could have been improved a little because towards the end of my stay, we were only allowed to eat in our rooms. The activities could be a little better or they could add a staff member.
Newer rooms, no odors. The Financial guy did a great job helping to deal with the closing of my parents house during the quarantine. There was a lot of running around to get things notarized. I even offered to pay extra for their Notary to come in on her day off, they provided the service at no extra charge. I feel they are a good value. My Mom needs Assisted Living and my Dad is Independent Living. They were able to blend the two so they could stay together in an Independent unit with mom getting the services she needs. It is a good location easy to get to but far enough from the road so no road noise. Food is good.
Spoke live with [name removed] [date removed] . Helpful information and friendly. Their assisted living services are a la carter, so you only pay for what you need. She emailed me a link to a webinar on Aid and Attendance benefits. . Info from [name removed]: 1 bedroom $2,555

Nice grounds. Large apartments. I am realizing after seeing two facilities that assisted living may not be what is best for my mother.
We like this community. The staff is nice and caring. The meals are good and we are pleased with the care and the activities for the residents. This is a nice environment that we were looking for that is a little more of a country environment for what we were wanting. We like that the staff will go out of their way to be helpful. We would recommend this community for the great value and care to other families.
