We were apprehensive about putting mom in any facility, even for a short time, because of all the bad things you hear about nursing homes - also called skilled nursing facilities. She was to be admitted for a short stay for therapy and be returned back home. We were pleased with the staff who did everything possible to keep mom comfortable and rebuild her strength. Due to finances we couldn't keep her there longer than about 5 weeks. From the nurses and CNAs to the activities director and kitchen staff, we experienced very few problems. There was often a 10-30 minute wait to get her back in bed after meals and therapy, but we understood because of the staff-resident ratio. It wasn't unusual for CNAs to be taking care of 20 residents in a given shift. Obviously some needed more care than others. We are very thankful for all the assistance they gave us, including transition to home care. It wasn't the most luxurious facility, but I would not exchange the care she received for a far more expensive facility. The staff is what makes the difference.Reviewed on A Place For Mom
Very wonderful staff! Decor colors are bland, but this was 2nd on my list.Reviewed on SeniorAdvisor.com
I had a decent tour of this facility. The staff was friendly and nice. The appearance of the community could had looked better. The cleanliness of the facility could use some improvements. It was not the community for us.Reviewed on SeniorAdvisor.com
