The community recently had a meeting with administrators and residents and families that recently moved in. This was very beneficial for us to ask questions. This is a great community. All the staff were calm, caring, doing well with their position and following the rules. I would recommend you check the community out to see if this would be a good fit for your loved one. I wouldn't recommend anyone to place their loved ones in this community. We didn't have the best experience for my loved one. The staff weren't able to accommodate the needs of my loved one. I had to pay personal caregivers in addition to the fees for the community. This is a not a good idea for anyone that has Alzheimer's needs at the end of the long journey.

I toured Arden Courts of Glen Ellyn and I didn't care for it at all. I didn't see any of the residents as we walked through the halls. I had no idea how the staff interacted with them.
The facility was very dirty and smelled like urine. A residents diaper was down by his shoes and the lady touring us just walked by and didn’t even try to tell staff this person needed assistance she just kept ok touring.

For us, a dedicated memory care facility made such a difference in the type of care that our loved one got and it was most definitely the right choice for our situation. I would highly recommend Arden Courts of Glen Ellyn to others looking for a memory care facility.

I toured with the executive director and the facility was dirty. I only saw around 2 total residents. Both residents were dirty and looked like they haven't showered in weeks.I would not put my cat in there even if you pay me,

This community was beautiful I just did not feel comfortable at this community. It was very pretty.
Two things that have significantly stood out to us is the overall cleanliness of the community, and the unique layout of their building.

I would not send anyone to this community. This community was horrendous, it was gloomy and we did not see anyone interacting with each other. Felt very institutional like for the amount of money that would be spent here you could for sure be somewhere else. They did not know I was coming when I came, the tour guide also did not know much.
I did this same process for my partner who was placing his mother into a memory care community. She was place in Arden courts some years ago and when it was time for me to place my loved one..... Arden Courts was the only option! From the beginning to the end, the process was smooth and sufficient. There is PCP that makes rounds at the community and a Psychiatrist that visits the community. That home away from home environment while having safety and security was very important when choosing a memory care community.

Everyone is so very kind, patient and welcoming. The staff became like family, from the administrators, programming, kitchen staff, nurses and care givers. He always said "I have so many friends here and they all know my name". I visited often and every time I came the care, cleanliness, attention and programming was consistent and exceeded my expectations. It is a lovely place, newly remodeled with a great courtyard. The single level layout was perfect for my cousin. He became familiar with the facility quickly and could walk wherever and whenever he wanted to. The medical team would update me on even the most minor issue. During Covid, Zoom calls and window visits helped us stay connected. There are many activities and programs and every holiday gets celebrated in a special way. My cousin resided there for a year and a half before he passed away. The attentive, gentle, loving care he received as the end neared gave me such comfort, as if family were truly taking care of him.

I can honestly tell you that I have been struggling with the decision to place my mom in any community but I am also happy that I was able to be guided along the way by the advisor and she took her time and didn't pressure me in my decision to take my time. Once my mom moved in, we were able to meet clinical leadership team that will be able to be proactive instead of reactive in care. The community is recently renovated and it looks BEAUTIFUL!

I recently inquired about this community for my mom who is experiencing dementia issues and I was pleasantly surprise of how well the community is designed from other places I have seen. I moved mom in and I have been scheduling a window visit to see her and how she is adjusting. My mom is currently in the early stages of the disease and I knew now was the time to make the transition to this homelike environment for my mom. She seems the be in great spirits and the communication and leadership at this community is great.

I was happy when I choose this community for memory care for my dad. There layout and free flow between the community is great for a person experiencing memory impairment. I had a virtual tour of the community due to the fact that we couldn't go in, and the advisor was very pleasant and informative when giving us information. I was very much interested in programming for my dad and she went over and showed current programming being implemented and the residents seemed to be having fun. I have not tasted the food to comment on, but my day says it good and if he says it good I will take his word for it! The nurse has been in consistent communication with my brother and I about my dads medication and getting our approval before starting any new med that the doctor has prescribed. I know my dad will thrive here and we are happy we moved dad into Arden Courts of Glen Ellyn. I would recommend this memory care community to families that are experiencing the same challenge we had with our aging dad and needed to find a homelike environment.

I am very happy with my decision to move my Aunt to this facility. I previously had her in a facility that did mostly assisted living, with some memory care. Arden Courts only provides memory care, which appealed to me. The grounds have plenty of room for members to roam around--both in the building and outside on the secured grounds. There are plenty of events and activities for residents. And, the dedication of the staff and the concern they share for the residents is second to none. Unfortunately, I have quite a bit of experience placing family members in care facilities. I am happy I have discovered Arden Courts.
