Department of Health, Protective Health Services, Long-term Care Services regulates this community type. Public assistance is available through the Medicaid 1915(c) Advantage Program, the Sooner Services Program, and the My Life My Choice Program. The maximum occupancy is 2 residents per room. The minimum number of residents for this community type is 2. There must be one bath or shower for every 4 residents and one toilet for every 4 residents. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include staff must be trained in food preparation, must use a licensed dietician to develop diet plan, and must provide three meals a day. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include assistance with cognitive orientation, medication administration, intermittent nursing care, and laundry. Staff members obtain education in a variety of subjects. These areas include residents’ specific needs, first-aid, and cpr. This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include provide medication administration and observe the swallowing of oral medications.
