The Interurban Transit Partnership operates a public transit system called The Rapid. The Rapid was awarded the “Outstanding Public Transportation System Award” in 2004 and 2013 by the American Public Transportation Association. Part of the reason it won this recognition is that The Rapid offers a wide variety of services, including the County Connection which provides transportation to all of Kent County, GO!Bus which provides transportation for those with disabilities, and PASS which provides transportation into specific neighborhoods where there is low concentration of bus routes.
