Oregon is located on the West Coast in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. Oregon is nicknamed the “Beaver State,” due to the large number of the animals that called the state home when the fur traders and pioneers first arrived. Oregon is a pacific playground with over 360 miles of beaches and more than 30 million acres of forest. Its larger cities like Portland and the college town of Eugene are vibrant and eclectic places with plenty of activity. Oregon’s majestic natural beauty combined with its relatively mild temperatures make the state a great place to call home and a wonderful location to retire.
Currently, A Place for Mom partners with more than 190 senior living communities in Oregon that provide memory care. The median monthly cost of memory care in Oregon is about $5,900.
I love living here. I moved here a year ago from my daughter's house a year and a half ago. There have been lots of changes, sometimes that happens but in our case it is for the better. I go with the flow....
I agree to all of the above. Just wish the cost was less. Based on the experience we have had so far with Canfield Place, I would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their...
Despite their appearance, the staff appeared very friendly and helpful to my father. Tattoos, died hair, piercings, and general "punk" appearance of staff (not including sales or management) was concerning...
When it comes to the meals and dining service I believe they are working on making that experience before. They have communicated their goals. I believe when they changed their meal plan and heard from...
Russellville Park is wonderful! My mom experienced all three levels of living: Independent Living, Assistant Living and Memory Care. At each level the staff treated her and other residents with respect...
I would say that it was a lovely place for mom to live but that they are woefully unprepared to deal with anyone with dementia who is uncooperative, in denial, and occasionally loud.
My friend needed immediate placement and they could take her right away, even with certain behaviors other places would not. I would recommend to others.
My dad entered memory care at Morning Star in 2023. Either my mom or I was with him daily. So we spent many hours there. Morning Star is a beautiful facility. It looks clean and smells clean. However, it...
My loved one was briefly a resident at Regency Park and during his short experience there, everything was great. I cannot rate the food or the activities as my loved one refused both. As for the value for...
My Mom is very happy there. I have walked into her room when a staff person was changing Mom's Depends and the 2 of them were laughing and having a great time. My Dad died there on [date removed] and the...
They are very clean, staff is very personable. From what have seen in the activities, they are very geared towards the residents abilities. They seem to have adequate staffing. Definitely do your homework...
What sticks out most about Prestige Senior Living Southern Hills would be the staff - they truly care about their residents. I would definitely recommend the facility to other families looking.
Despite their appearance, the staff appeared very friendly and helpful to my father. Tattoos, died hair, piercings, and general "punk" appearance of staff (not including sales or management) was concerning...
My mom passed away in [date removed] , but I will say Merrill Gardens was great with my mom and addressed any issues that we brought up promptly. Kept us informed if she was not feeling well on any given...
My Mom was a resident at Emerald Valley for 1 1/2 years. They have great and caring staff. My Mom didn't like to go out of her room often, but the staff happily came to her. She wouldn't go to many...
