Memory Care
There is ground work that needs updating and sometimes it is not getting done. The outside grounds need to be kept better. They have friendly staff, and willing to hear the suggestions from the family on the care you are anticipating for your loved one. The staff communication with the family is good and they will try and have an answer or get one back to you as quickly as they can. Exercises, group activities, and more are some of the activities for the residents to participate in, if they choose to.
Overall Oaks at Fayetteville is a great place We're very pleased with the facility and they staff. They need to work on activities on the memory care side - taking the residents outside, etc. They have fewer things going on in memory care than in assisted living. But overall it's a well-maintained and well-run facility.
My father was in the memory care area, they do an excellent job with meal time, making sure everyone is there and eating out if they need help they would feed them. The community nurse Helga is great, she always kept me informed if anything with my dad would change. The only improvement might be to have an additional person in the memory care area, it is small but difficult for 2 to manage.
