I am very pleased with the quality of care. Everyone has gone above and beyond any expectations that I had. From the cleaning staff, food staff, and all the way to the top. I was most impressed with [name removed]and the staff at Loganville. [name removed] made the experience a lot easier than it could have been, especially living a couple hours away.

April 18, 2023Thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at The Retreat at Loganville! If you ever need anything else from us, please feel free to give us a call or stop by. Have an awesome day!
The tour was fine, there was nothing wrong with the facility. I just felt like it had more on an institutional feeling to it. We were looking for a setting that was more homey for my husband.

The Retreat at Loganville overall has been a really good community and she loves her apartment. The staff members are very responsive and she has been very pleased with her house keeping. She loves going to all the activities especially the bible study and enjoys eating the dinners. Based on our experience so far we would absolutely recommend The Retreat at Loganville to other families .

March 9, 2023Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!
They've been very helpful when needed and very kind to my dad. Staff communication is fine when I have questions. My dad is in independent living so they provide lunch every day. He's been pleased with the food.

March 9, 2023Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!
I liked this place, but going through a renovation and the two bedrooms (which were amazing) were just too big for my loved ones needs.

August 16, 2022Hi Neil, we regret to hear that you are displeased with your recent experience with us. Thanks again for taking the time to leave us this information about your recent visit. Take care!
I toured The Retreat at Loganville; they were very thorough and extremely helpful with determining my loved one's level of care. I was not displeased, they gave me plenty of time and call backs to follow up. We chose another community because my loved one wasn't mobile enough and couldn't meet their criteria regarding mobility. I would've been comfortable having him stay here had it all worked out.

July 29, 2022Good morning Sally, Thank you for your interest in The Retreat at Loganville. We do wish we could have met your loved ones needs. Should you need anything in the future, please let us know. Warm Regards, Anita
It seems to me that The Retreat at Loganville has a lot of folks that really do care about the residents in their community. That stands out really quick once you've been there a while. I've ate there once and it wasn't the best quality of food. Quality seems to be more of the issue than anything in regards to meals & dining. My loved one has a two bedroom apartment that is in the independent group living area, and its very nice. There were some things we asked to get replaced or fixed, and they are working diligently to get our requests taken care of.

July 12, 2022Bob, we really appreciate your positive review! Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything additional we can do for you.
This community was an older setting. We felt like things were being done for updates but not much at the time. We did not feel like there were enough activities and that there would be transportation as we needed. Someone was also smoking in the hall and my loved one did not like this. Even though they were told to not smoke in the rooms they were still doing it and my loved one did not like this.
This is a great place for our loved one. We find the staff friendly and the community clean. Prior to the lockdown due to the pandemic, the food was pretty good. They even had activities prior to the lockdown as well.

January 7, 2022Thank you so very much!
Our family had an in person tour and The Retreat is not as pet friendly as other communities we were looking into. Our loved one had a service dog so by law communities have to accept them, however it just seemed like at the time of our tour they were not set up to accommodate our loved ones service dog. It also was the lowest quality as far as amenities, and very little cabinet space in the apartments.

October 20, 2021We're sorry to hear that we weren't the perfect fit for you and your loved one. If you should have a change of heart, please feel free to reach out to us! Thank you for considering us!
Our family had an in person tour and it was a really good tour, it still highly considered, but the floor plan our loved one would of had wasn't going to work. We did not need a cottage for our loved one.

October 15, 2021Thank you for visiting us at The Retreat at Loganville, and if you should have any more questions, please feel free to reach out to us!
The housekeeping needs improvement big time. The meals are very early. Activities are daily. Having a doctor on staff is very beneficial, which gives them access to a portable x-ray machine. The response time when the call button is pressed needs improvement. And communication from management to the families needs to improve as well. But I really like that they offer different levels of care, from independent living all the way up to memory care, all in one place.

September 20, 2021We thank you for taking the time to submit your review. We will definitely look into the issues that you mentioned!! Thank you again!
My mother in law was actually a this facility 10 years ago and had a great experience. We did not choose them because they could not accommodate her needs. She smoked and they did not have a room on the first floor available that was far enough away. But we know it is a great facility.

August 10, 2021Thank you for the kind words, Karen! WE truly appreciate it!
The closets were small. The grounds around the cottages were not well kept, needed weeding and pine straw. [name removed] was very helpful.

If your parent is going in for memory care, and they are an active dementia resident, don't put them there. The community doesn't know how to handle a resident that is active. They only know how to deal with residents that are in wheelchairs or disabled.

I was thankful to have a virtual tour in the midst of Covid. I didn’t feel comfortable going in person to a facility because I didn’t want to get anyone sick. It was a great experience to view the property virtually, and I felt like I got a good feel for everything. I liked the placement of the room they had available. It was by the door by a gazebo and some nice flowers outside, and my loved one is an outdoor guy. The Retreat was my first choice until I found a place closer to where we lived.

A Place for Mom has scored The Retreat at Loganville 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
