Excellent service
My husband was at the rehab area for approximately 2 1/2 weeks and he would have been there until he felt safe that he could use the walker w/o any assistance...but insurance would not pay for any more time. .so he was kick out ??. The staff [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] was very kind and passionate. He had to go back to a rehab due to a fall and we wished that he could have come back there.

My aunt has been at the villages of lake highlands for about 2 weeks. The care has been horrible such as they have forgotten her food several times and also her medicines and we were told that a doctor would be visiting twice a week and she has not seen one yet. The food is not even good at all. Every time we ask a question the standard answer is that we don't any thing about that. When we call for beauty shop appoi ntments and they are very rude and not any help. You fhave to get mad before anything happens. It is a pretty place but it is still a nursing home with crapy care.

Simply put, it would not be possible to convey all our positive comments regarding our experiences at the Villages of Lake Highlands or to thank all the staff members associated with our mother's care without making this review far too cumbersome to assess! Therefore, we will try and cross only those points that might be of interest to others evaluating this facility’s service offerings.
In August of this year, our mother was admitted to the Villages of Lake Highlands after a very difficult hospital stay resulting from a compression fracture in her lower spine. More specifically, she presented to the Villages of Lake Highlands with hospital/medication induced delirium and was in desperate need of physical therapy, memory care, psychiatric support, and assistance with even the most rudimentary tasks. Despite this very difficult situation, with facility administrators and support staff working as one, our mother’s recovery has surpassed any and all expectations. In sum, even though she will likely never be truly independent again, our eighty-nine year old mother will be able to return to a modestly independent life within an assisted living community; something we certainly thought impossible the day we entered the Villages of Lake Highlands.
In closing, while our mother’s miracle truly belongs to God, we do sincerely appreciate and recommend those doing His work through the Villages of Lake Highlands!

Excellent Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation
My mother spent 8 days at Village of Lake Highlands for skilled nursing and rehabilitation post hip replacement. The nursing and administration staff was friendly, caring, and skilled. The occupational and physical therapy staff for rehabilitation post surgery was excellent. Mom has continued with some outpatient physical therapy onsite. She enjoys going back for "excellent PT" and visiting with the staff that cared for her. Everyone is amazed at how well she is getting around in such a short period of time.

My Mother was taken care of very well, her nurse and assistant nurse were checking on her multiple times a day, they adjusted her position in bed and her physical therapist was able to see her daily for her 9 day stay she got out much earlier than we anticipated. [Removed] was the best nurse ever!

My room was the best room ever.I had a garden view and I could see the birds, and it was so lovely, as if I was enjoying a piece of heaven.." She was here at Easter and 1 week after, she enjoyed watching the easter egg hunt where there were children and their families I could watch, and they were all dressed up in their nice clothes. It was a wonderful sight to see . Loved the meals; everything she ate was so good and fresh. .Could not speak highly enough about the care of the CNA's and the rehab department. She bonded with them and they were like children to her. CNA's were fantastic and so helpful

Villages of Lake Highlands Skilled Nursing Facility
My mother is currently at the Villages first in SNF and now on private pay and has agreed to stay on for now. This facility has been gracious and has treated her with care
and understanding for her strokes and heart attack after coming out of a rehabilitation hospital. I as her caretaker have been greatly pleased with her care there. The only drawback is there is not enough staff available for activities of daily living,bathing,dressing,changing. The aides that work there should be comended they do an extremely hard job. Kudos to them. All in all a above average facility. The rehab gym is excellent and the PT people do their best and trying to help the residents to obtain their maximum level to recover. I don't think you could go wrong in choosing this facility.

Fancy Place with a Clinical Feel
My mother was there when she was getting rehab for about 3 months and she was there a couple of years ago as well. It's a lovely, very fancy place. The help is very good but it almost has a more cold, clinical environment and that's what I like so much about where she is now - it's not cold or clinical like the Villages is. They do have good care for rehab.
