Residents are able to participate in menu selection and preparation through Weekly shopping excursions with Susan and cooking group with Jane. Pets are welcomed and resident receive support to keep pets as well as weekly visits from puppies to spread warm wet affection and plenty of cuddling.

Villa Maria host community events such as summer barbeque, holiday parties, Monte Carlo nights and Singles events. Residents have the choice to go on fields trips to Amish country or to the Serenity Creek Retreat where residents relax and rejuvenate in historic home with meandering brook and peaceful wildlife.

Villa Maria has a charming musician entertaining and leading the resident in sing along. Music students from neighboring Mt. Union College regularly hold lively concerts.
