Located in the heart of the beautiful San Diego, California, University City Guest Home 1 is the leading facility for assisted senior living. Our kind staff provides the kind of care that your loved one needs to lead a fulfilling life, even in an assisted living environment. If you are looking for a place that provides assistance with daily tasks, you will want to take a tour of our facility. We know that as your loved ones age, they need a little more help with every day activities, and we are here to provide that help. We offer services from reminding our residents to take their medication to helping them take a bath or shower. Here, we care about our residents, and we let our care shine through to each and every one. There are many daily functions that can become difficult as time goes one, but your loved one will be gently helped throughout them all. Meal time is usually a time that families get together and discuss their day with each other. As time progresses, motor skills sometimes decrease. We can help your loved one during these complicated times. We have staff members who are patient and understanding that are trained to help, those in need, get through almost any daily task. Here at University City Guest Home 1, our primary focus is that our residents are happy and comfortable. We enjoy seeing their smiling faces, and are always there to help them if they need it.

"Thank you for that encouragement. I am amazed at his
improvement, he is doing better than he was a year ago. He even
said last week that he wished he made the move 2 years
ago! He loves the food and has gained 12lbs since moving
in. He apparently is playing the piano almost daily, which people
seem to love and request songs. Thank you for everything."

"I agonized over placing my mom in an assisted living facility;
in fact, I fought the whole idea of it until I had no other choice.
My emotions were almost a hindrance to me to make the best
decision for my mom as I wanted more than anything to protect her
but the situation was out of my control. We moved my mom in about a
month ago and she went from being sad and depressed to open and
happy once again. She is making friends and participating in all
the activities and she even loves the food! We all love
you at A Place for Mom!"
