[Name removed], my Dad, recently passed away last June after residing at Tina’s Place for almost ten years. Dad lived in constant pain following a disabling fall in the early 80s. Prior to his arrival, he had been living in an apartment described as “Assisted Living”.
It so happened that he became their first resident after a recommendation of a social worker. As my son [name removed] and I were there right after his arrival, we felt very much at ease and knew Dad was in a safe, loving and caring Home.
Through the years [name removed] and I would visit on extended weekends observing the nutritious meals, social activities and warm family feeling.
When it came to his painkillers, Dad was very conservative. They did comply with his wishes.
In 2015 when Dad ended up in the hospital, [name removed] (his primary caregiver) could see Dad was going downhill. As Dad’s advocate, [name removed] pleaded with the hospital staff to release Dad to their care. They did, and Dad regained his health.
Both [names removed] were angels of comfort to Dad the last couple weeks following a stroke. [Name removed] stayed with him when Dad was ready to go.
I am forever grateful to [names removed].

What a team
Nearly 3 years ago my 94 year old mother (then) broke a bone in her foot and needed assisted living care. We were blessed to find “Tina’s Place” – the love and care extended to my mom and the other residents has always been wonderful. The care givers treat the residents as family members and the spirit at “Tina’s Place” is always positive, friendly and encouraging to the residents. I know that my mom could not have been in a better place for her, now that she is starting to experience dementia. I wish all who are in advancing age and need this type of personalized care could find a place like “Tina’s Place” – Thank you, [name removed] for your expert care. What a team!!

We found an Angel
My mother lived in this home for several years. This is a wonderful, caring and compasionate home. The home is owned by a nurse who spends time with the residents daily. Most larger facilities don’t even offer a nurse on staff.Her caregivers are exceptional. The home is in a residential community making the residents feel like they’re living at home not in a facility. The level of care they offer is beyond expectations. I have never been there when there were fewer than 2 caregivers at all times, very often they would have 4. This gives you an indication of the attention the residents receive. I have asked them to have have a room available for me when the time comes where I can no longer care for myself. They have been in business for about 14 years and their experience shows. If you are looking for a home make sure you look behind the scenes. What you see and what you get are often two different things. I felt like family whenever I came to visit, the atmosphere is casual which makes you feel comfortable. I almost chose a larger facility before deciding on Tina’s place. Choosing [name removed] was the best decision I ever made.

Blessing
Tina’s place was a wonderful blessing for my Mom. The residents and staff were like a family. They cared for my Mother with such love and kindness, making sure all her needs were met. She was always up and clean eating home made meals with all the residents! Tina and the staff took care of all her medications and let me know when any additional medical care was necessary. She had a colostomy that they assisted her with daily. In her last days she didn’t want to be alone so between [names removed] and I we were able to be at her side. Thank you for your love and caring for my mother.

The Best
After suffering a serious stroke leaving him with severe cognitive deficits, I placed my father at Tina’s Place. He lived there for seven years. The most important thing I can say about this group home is that I never had a moment’s worry about his care. Residents there are always clean, properly and well fed, and are encouraged to interact with each other as much as they are able. The staff has the residents participate in life as much as possible (unlike other group homes I visited where management was happy to let residents lie in bed all day). They encourage family participation; Tina and I consulted with each other as necessary regarding changes in my father’s care, and I was welcome to visit as often as I pleased. At the end of his life, they were patient and supportive in dealing with hospice. I would recommend this group home to friends and family.
