Best living assistance house
My aunt had a problem with a few different facilities in the past so I was very skeptical. when I came to this home I immediately felt an overwhelming inviting feeling of home. The resident seemed happy and excited the place smelled amazing and the employees were very nice sweet and welcoming. The manager I believe her name was [name removed] sealed the deal!! I have a problem with caregivers who don't know how to care properly and she understood that. My aunty enjoyed every moment of that home until God called her home I am forever grateful to the amazing staff and manager who loved and cared for my auntie as if she was their own. I wish I could give them 10 stars but they only allow five thank you again.

The Valencia is a beautiful residential senior living community in Scottsdale, Arizona. Known for its gorgeous desert vistas, as well as its spas and golf courses, Scottsdale is a popular retirement destination. The Valencia has 10 private bedrooms, each with its own beautiful bathroom and tiled walk-in shower. Best living assistance house

perfect home for dad
I never wanted to put my dad in a home but after an incident happened I knew it was best for him I searched for a very long time because i couldnt find a facility that i was comfortable putting him in a friend of mine mentioned these homes and that is how i found the Valencia i wish i had found it sooner. My dad is doing so much better and he is the happiest that i have seen him in a long time i really appreciate all that they have done for him

amazing care
i was taking care of my husband by myself for about 6 years but it became to much for me to handle on my own and all of my children live out of state, I hesitated on putting him in a home because I personally didn't want to be put in one but after visiting the Valencia I felt this was the home for him and maybe in the future the home for me.

Caregivers are the key!
My amazing 98-year-old grandma spent 7 months at Valencia. We and Grandma fell in love with a few of the caregivers, so this shout-out is to [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed]! Grandma (GG) wasn't easy but they all came around to her and got their "boops" on the nose and "pats" of appreciation. The caregivers are really what makes the place and these 3 ladies were exemplary in their care for our GG.

Series of broken promises....
Short story is my mom was here for 4 months. I was concerned about the differences in abilities between other residents and her fitting in. They assured me at 90 days, we could move on and not forfeit deposit. Fast forward - they never did anything they promised. No mobile care because I couldn't choose THEIR mobile provider. Even when I found my own, they wouldn't help. No prescriptions delivered so I had to run get them at all hours of the night. On two occasions they told me at 8p that she was out for the next AM. She would miss pills and become disoriented. They charged me twice for rent one month. I still haven't seen that check. At 90 days, I tell them we want to move. They make more promises of change and ask for 30 days. Nothing changed. At move out, staff wouldn't even get off phone to say gbye. 8 months later - I get a hold of someone finally to find out all staff replaced. She assures me resolution. But now I am being ignored again. Beware.

The Valencia Experience
My mom has been a resident for over a year now. The current care team is fantastic! The home is immaculate and cheerful. [name removed] experience and knowledge of the senior care industry is really reflected in the management of the home. She engages with the residents and caregivers and it really makes all the difference! [name removed] compassion and understanding of the residents provides such an organized and peaceful environment. The other care team members engage the residents in conversation and ask questions so they have a real understanding of all of the different personalities. It’s a great feeling knowing that my mom feels safe and cared for! Great job Valencia care team!

Change
My sister placed our mother in this home over a year ago. We as a family loved the place and it seemed to nothing but improve until now. There has been a drastic change in staff and management which has led to terrible communication, customer service and care for the elderly women that reside at this home. The feel when you walk in is off. My mom has a very bad memory but there are others that can speak up and do when we've been by to visit. The staff are not as friendly or as knowledgeable in care. We were considering a change for mom but have agreed that moving her would be very confusing and hard on her. We are hoping that this is just a ruff patch for the home but will be back to the quality it once was.

I see that this review was left back in early 2022. That was shortly after our house manager was promoted and left her position as the manager of the Valencia Home. I agree with your comments that the environment changed after the original manager moved to a different position. It took us a little time to get the new manager to feel confident about their new role. I'm happy to say that we were able to return to the warm friendly environment that we strive for, and our family members continue to share that they are pleased with the care and environment that is being provided for their loved ones at the Valencia Home.

[name removed] and her team provided loving care to my mother-in-law. [name removed] is very knowledgeable medically as well and diagnosed and helped my mom-in-law recover from a serious infection. Valencia Home's current care team has really set the bar for other homes to achieve. My grandmother was a special woman and deserved the best. Wonderful home!
I have worked with a number of homes in the Phoenix area in my work with a local hospice organization. I’ve been visiting The Valencia Home for some time to visit a couple of residents . The home itself is beautiful, the caretakers are warm and truly interested in making the residents feel cares for and special. I have seen resident engagement activities that are far and above what I have seen in other homes, both in terms of organized activities like music and in informal activities such as one on one caregiver interaction with individuals. I highly recommend this community to anyone who is considering placement for a loved one!

Over and above care, truly!
Because I live in a different state, it’s difficult for me to see my grandmother often. On top of that, I can’t just call her house phone anymore due to her age. What I appreciate most about The Valencia House is they truly go above and beyond with communication! All I need to do is reach out a day or so ahead (sometimes not even that) and I’m able to FaceTime with her! It’s truly so special because as she gets older and more forgetful, seeing my face helps her remember faster! Very thankful that [name removed] particularly goes the extra mile. The video time is priceless. Aside from that, when I was able to visit in person, they were very careful in regards to visitors due to COVID. I TRULY appreciated their safety measures and view that as a sign of respect to the sweet women living there!

As a current resident I would Recommend to others
I recommend Valencia for anyone that prefers an all women home. This feature makes me feel most comfortable. The benefit for this type of home in that it’s a smaller setting is the way they can accommodate and customize your stay better than other facilities. I happen to be a picky eater but I can always count on the caregivers to make me something I prefer and they now know my likes and dislikes so well I hardly Have to ask for the substitutions. This home has all levels of care and with my situation I want to do as much for myself as possible. The caregivers will help me but let me still live my life and do things for myself. That is important to me. The home is very clean and we all get to to know each other and the staff has been very good to me.

GREAT, ENGAGING CARE
My has been at The Valencia House in February "21. It wasn't my choice, but recommended for safety. Mom is 88 with mobility issues. The staff there has been kind , caring and communicative with me. I've always found her clean and in fresh clothes and as engaged as she wished to be that day. It's a hard decision, but happy that mom is there!

Highly Recommended
My mother lives at The Valencia Home. She has been there for almost two years and is very well cared for. With a maximum of ten residents and two care givers on duty there is lots of personal attention. Having all women residents also works out very well. We highly recommend The Valencia Home!

A home I'd use for my own family member
I am a healthcare worker that visits many group homes and I wouldn't hesitate to move a family member here. The staff is excellent and very attentive. [name removed] the manager is on top of everything with each resident. She communicates with me with any patient needs. The home is beautiful and extremely clean, but it's the staff that truly makes the place special.

Great experience
When my mother had a fall while living at home she ended up in the hospital which led us to looking into a care home. Valencia is very clean and beautifully kept with caregivers that not only take excellent care of her but they go the extra mile. They take pride in their work and it shows. My mom gets exercise with the fun activities they do and we really appreciate that to help her with her strength. Valencia Home is recommended!
