We started moving him in November 6 and visited several times before to measure for furniture and such. He moved from a farm less than 15 minutes away. I was happy when staff came up to him while he was moving in, asked if he was sleeping there yet, did he need any help, etc. Just very aware of residents and what they might need.\nMy husband and I spent a lot of time at The Landings and had several meals. Food was good and dining room staff very in tune with residents—offering different foods, different portion size, things like that. Laundry says wash and fold. Dad’s clothes came back on hangers, as he likes them. He hadn’t talked to anyone—they saw his closet and just knew. The only thing I see coming up in the future is the billing and dealing with long term care insurance. This facility was great, it just wasn't the right fit for our loved one. The Assisted Living side was fantastic! The Memory Care unit was less than impressive, as far as their accommodations. We would have loved to have been able to keep our loved one on the Assisted Living side and they tried.
