A nice community with some room for improvement
I must start by sharing that my mom is not easy to please and does not choose to join in social activities. The biggest disappointment with the Conservatory has been the dining room experience. The food is disappointing, as it was built up as the very best thing. Dining room seems short staffed. If only dining staff were kinder to residents. Some tables don't have waiters assigned, but there is nothing to indicate that. Mom sat & waited a long time before being told she should have sat at another table.

I love it here
The staff is wonderful! They do offer activities. Exercise classes at all levels, trips to the mall weekly. There is a book to sign up for the activities. Trips to the grocery store and pharmacy weekly. And a car or bus to take us to any medical facility within a ten mile radius. They provide weekly light housekeeping and make the beds for me! The facility is extremely clean and if there is a problem they quickly take care of it. If we need something done personally... such as hanging curtains, the will fill out a work order and do the job when they can at a set rate per hour. I would definitely recommend it to others but it is a bit pricey so they would need to be aware of that, right up front. I love it here and have already made many friends and built quite a support system.

Tour experience
The Conservatory was very nice and the gal did a great job following up with us after the fact. They were in the middle of remodeling due to some damage the building had and my mom was not sure if she wanted to listen to that. Also, it was more expensive for smaller sized apartments so the value was just not as good as another one we were looking at.

Check other places first
My parents moved in years ago and this place is getting worse. No power generator for when electricity fails and the food is mostly fried in very small portions. Not much healthy eating here! My sister has to bring food in for my parents to eat. The dining areas aren’t open and some food is brought to the residents in their apartments, but by the time it gets to the table, it’s cold and any lettuce is wilted. If you care about the food, you’ll pick another place!

I am very happy here!
Right now due to COVID the activities are limited, but beforehand they had day trips to the theater, to the local nut cracker market and to the rodeo. They also would take the residents to the mall. There are table games, live music on certain days and a movie theater. They also provide transpiration to appointments and grocery stores. The rooms are very well appointed and have everything you would need, It has a pleasant appearance and you can even choose your own flooring. The staff are also very open and friendly.

I like the care here for my mom. They do inform me if there are changes. They offer her to be able to eat in the dining room with the other residents. She is enjoying the activities that are offered with the others. We would recommend this community. I am happy to see that my mom is still able to cook for herself here.

Just love it!
The staff here are very nice and helpful. I like that they offer transportation for me to be able to get to my appointments and to the store. I also was able to go on my first outing to the Bush Museum. They don't have much in the way of games they could add a few more. I did though get involved with what they did have though and enjoyed myself.

The Conservatory at Alden Bridge is a very nice high quality community.
The community was very active with residents when we visited The Consersvatory. They offer a variety of activities for the residents to enjoy. The staff were very friendly and addressed all of our concerns. The community has a wait list and they did not have a room available when we needed one.

Great Activities
Everything is going pretty well since my mother moved into The Conservatory. It has been a very good experience so far the community looks really nice and very clean. The staff here have been nothing but helpful to my mother and all her needs. She seems to be adjusting well and they have a lot of activities for the residents to take part it. My mother like to participate in the fitness activities so that is very nice for her. Overall everything is pleasant and things are going great.

She is glad that she made the move. They are real good here. It's clean and the staff is friendly. They do a good job here. I am real impressed, and so is she. Clean and beautiful, but the food kept getting worse and worse.
My dad lived here for a couple of years. It was a very nice place. Clean and beautiful, but the food kept getting worse and worse. He couldn't take the food and the experience in the dining room any more. They couldn't keep a chef, and they served a continental breakfast, and would run out, and when it was gone it was gone, that was it. They would serve it with paper plates and plastic utensils, and for what he was paying he just couldn't take it anymore.

Nice place overall, some problems with the sales staff
Unfortunately my loved one was only here a short time, but in terms of the care staff and the facility itself I think The Conservatory does a wonderful job. The people who work with the residents are friendly and professional. However, I had to knock a few points off of my rating because during the sales process the sales person promised us things that the facility just does not provide. One of these things I was told by the administrator just wouldn't be possible, and another I had to really push to get them to fulfill. All in all it is a good place, but just be sure they're able to provide what they promise.

A Place for Mom has scored The Conservatory at Alden Bridge 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
