About South Shore House
South Shore House is a senior care home in Cudahy, WI in Milwaukee County. Two miles from the Milwaukee city limits, Patrick Cudahy chose the site for a meat-packing plant. The town retains a small-town feel with big city amenities at your fingertips. Cudahy sponsors a variety of free family-friendly events such as an Arbor Day celebration, bike auction and city-wide rummage sale. A lakefront park is popular with residents who love hiking and biking on the beautifully maintained trail. A summer farmers market offers residents a taste of the country. The Kelly Senior Center welcomes all senior residents to join them for exercise classes, arts and crafts and outdoor gardening in the courtyard.
The caregivers at South Shore House encourage our residents to live an active, independent and healthy lifestyle while assisting with daily living activities such as medication management, grooming and showering. We strive to meet each residents' needs in a timely manner with 24-hour staffing. Our caregivers present recreational activities that promote friendships in our group home setting and those which stimulate imagination and creativity. We are within minutes of emergency medical services, a nurse visits regularly and a doctor is on-call.
In addition to a residential home in a safe neighborhood, we offer amenities such as:
- Home-cooked meals and nutritious snacks
- Laundry and housekeeping
- Clean and comfortable common areas in which to visit, read or watch television
Our commitment is to create a long-term, meaningful relationship with our seniors; one that reassures, protects and allows them to live a fulfilling life and enjoy their independence.
