Our loved one says - moving into Riverview Terrace has been an adjustment
Our loved one is very happy with the meals and dining service, she says the food is excellent. Unforuantely, since our loved one has moved in they have been on lock down most of the time so she has not been able to participate in any activities. They have had some positive cases come from those who have not been vaccinated.

I've called RVT my home for the last five years, it's a remarkable place. Dining room is open from 7am-7pm all day with a nice variety of food selections. Games and a variety of clubs meet weekly, including Wine Social. A great fitness leader, lunches out and more!

We Enjoy The Active Environment
We are independent residents and I see the caregivers around the building and they seem to be really good with the assisted residents.I have house keeping and they will come to my room to help if needed,they do have priorities though. The meals are very good with plenty of options and a good substitution menu and they have open times to eat. They do so much here it's hard to list all the activities. It is very active here with a good atmosphere.

Things Are Going Well
Things are going well for us since moving my father into the community. He seems to be adjusting well with the move and living in the community. The staff is great I've no problems with them an the food is great also which is a plus. It is an overall nice environment for senior's and we are happy the choice we made.

Friendly and caring staff
The staff is very friendly and caring. The facility is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The level of care here is amazing. The food, however leaves a lot to be desired. Honestly, it just is not very good.

Unhealthy prepackaged foods, and poor management in a beautiful facility
When we walked into Riverview, we thought it looked like an upscale hote. We don't feel that so much since they redecorated? What has been added has diminished the high end appeal. The administrator does not listen to the problems of the residents such as smoke getting in their rooms, washers and dryers out of service, windows not cleaned for years, and drafty doors not being fixed. These are just a few of the problems that have been unresolved. The repair staff is not responsive at all. But the worst issue is the food. They advertise their dining room, which is supposed to be open all day, with many items. They would be better off offering the residents 2-4 options at each meal and make them delicious and nutricious. My parent has told me she knows of 4 other residents who are considering moving. It is really too bad that the management is so poor! It shouldn't be difficult to improve the food quality, especially when it is something that the residents looks forward to, and it so important to them.

We are truly sorry that you are unhappy with the décor, the management, the maintenance and the food. Riverview Terrace staff try very hard to cater to the needs and preferences of each and every one of our residents. With a resident census such as ours, it is difficult to make everyone happy.
We have recently made changes in the maintenance department and added more people to the staff.
We have started incorporating alternative recipes into our menu and have started using symbols on the menu to indicate food that meet different dietary needs such as Gluten Free, Sugar Free and Heart Healthy.
We are sorry you feel that management does not listen to the problems of the residents. We make every effort to allow residents to express their opinions and air their concerns. We do this through the use of the Comments and Suggestions Box in the lobby and also the monthly Resident Council Meeting. The Administrator has an open door policy and is almost always available to speak to any resident that is experiencing an issue.
We are very sorry if you or your parents are considering leaving Riverview Terrace.

Very Unhappy With the Food
What they need to improve on is the health part of their food. They have the most unhealthy food of any place I have heard of. And we have had meetings to work on it, but it takes a lot to get them to get it done. Very unhappy with the food with there.

It's been great, and I have no complaints.
It's been great, and I have no complaints. Riverview Terrace is doing a very good job. The staff is friendly, and it's very clean. They are responsive and attentive. My loved one is really enjoying themselves.
