A satisfying experience during a difficult time.
Our dad recently moved into the Supportive Housing section of River Ridge. During Covid 19 it is a difficult time to move a loved one but everyone at River Ridge made the transition as easy as they possibly could for all of us. [Name removed], the Lifestyle Director handled all the details and was there for us every step of the way. She is still answering our questions as they come up. From [name removed] and others at the reception desk to [names removed] the Healthcare Aids on his floor our experience has been great. They are there for our dad whenever he needs assistance especially with those complicated TV remotes. He enjoys the food and the selections they have to offer. Our dad celebrated his 90th birthday in May and of course we were not able to celebrate with him as we had anticipated but the staff came through and made our physical distanced celebration fun for us.

We moved our mother here during part of the lock down so we were unable to help her find all the areas of the place. The staff are very good at selling the place. She was not given a tour when she moved in but managed to figure out the different areas. We were told that she would be assesssed by the nurse within the first 2 weeks. This did not happen and as they made us believe she would be encouraged to join some of the activities this also did not happen. We could have helped her in this but the reason we moved her out was the food. Definitely on the cheap lots of fried foods and simple carbs and the food the majority of the time is served cold to the residents The cost of movers is free to get you in there but there are places that have much better care.

The care [name removed] receives gives me peace of mind
[Name removed] moved to the Enhanced Senior Assisted Living with 24 hour health care aids available; she is checked on every hour to see how she is; she is brought to activities to keep her socially engaged. Since having her move to River Ridge II it has provided me peace of mind knowing she is well cared for. When she has fallen, they assess her and let me know her health status including if they have called for ambulance or not. The nurse on staff visits her every week day and she can see the doctor who comes once a week if she needs the service.
She loves living there. It is a lovely place and the service is excellent.

Beautiful facility! Love the location, the lay-out of the suites and common areas, and the peadefulness. Glad pets are allowed. Liked the option of in-room dining along with shared dining. Liked the many small alcoves for visiting. They also have add-ons such as theatre, salon, kitchen, sanctuary on site, so handy! Like the shuttle for appts, outings. The memory wing was right there, separate for safety, but same building so visiting, cross-use, where approprite, could seamlessly happen.So much more I could say. Everything was so lovely.
