Rancho Cordova is a bustling subdivision of the city of Sacramento in California. Located in the south central part of the state, its temperatures are relatively mild and the sun is always shining. The city offers many opportunities for enjoyment and recreation with its many parks and community activities. It has a well stocked library that also offers a number of community groups and planned events throughout the year. Assisted living homes in this area reflect the modern styles in the architecture as well as the attitude towards excellence. The staff are all well trained and periodic assessments are made to ensure that they stay up to date on all care issues. Rancho Cordova hires friendly individuals with a fire to help and make a difference in the lives of others. The facility itself is well groomed and landscaped in traditional mesa style, true to the area that it is located in. Palm trees, shrubbery and a variety of flowers and rock arrangements are found on the property both in public view and in private areas. The senior citizen will have ample opportunity at this facility to enjoy the sun, relax on the terrace or take a walk in the surrounding neighborhood. Activities are planned around the variety of physical needs of the elderly individuals who reside there. They can be as diverse as low impact yoga, or arts and crafts for an afternoon of enjoyment. No matter what the activity, they are all fashioned to enhance an independent lifestyle. Nurses and doctors are also on staff and on hand in case of medical emergency or need. Periodic checkups can be attained on the property or transportation can be provided to personal medical providers. Staff will also aid family members in remembering to take their medications and attain the necessary refills when needed.

"I agonized over placing my mom in an assisted living facility;
in fact, I fought the whole idea of it until I had no other choice.
My emotions were almost a hindrance to me to make the best
decision for my mom as I wanted more than anything to protect her
but the situation was out of my control. We moved my mom in about a
month ago and she went from being sad and depressed to open and
happy once again. She is making friends and participating in all
the activities and she even loves the food! We all love
you at A Place for Mom!"

"I just want to thank you so much for your assistance in finding
appropriate housing needs for my stepfather. You have been
a tremendous help and have set my mind at ease by providing those
facilities that fit our need. Your agency provides a great service
for families going through the same issues as myself.
