An Ideal Place for Mom
After several ER visits and hospitalizations that spanned 4 months, my husband's mother made the decision to live out the rest of her life at Proctor Place in Peoria. It turned out to be an absolutely wonderful experience not only for her, but also for us as her immediate family. As with any decision that requires moving from an independent way of life to nursing care, we were guardedly hopeful that Mom would be cared for tenderly, compassionately and completely once she entered the nursing unit at Proctor Place. Right from the very start of this process, the admissions staff, nursing staff, and maintenance staff were very easy to work with and from the first day of her care, she lacked nothing. The nurses and CNAs are excellent in the care they provide and they truly value each resident as if they were family. We highly recommend this facility for anyone who might need more care when the time comes to make that difficult decision.

Great Senior Community
From the moment we walked in, we felt the sincere warmth and friendliness of the staff and residents. Not only when we first visited, but when Dad moved in, and continues each day. Dad has only been there 3 weeks, but has made so many new friends. The staff takes a personal interest in each resident, and helps guide them toward other residents with similar interests. My Dad is a very social person. There are so many activities and ways to meet new people, and he has even tried a few he normally wouldn't do. I have visited several times, and feel we have made the right choice for Dad to live out the rest of his life. Everyone is happy there! And I am happy to see an abundance of staff, some with quite a few years in. That tells you a lot about a place. Very clean and inviting atmosphere indoors, and wonderful outdoor areas to sit, relax, and enjoy the view.

Proctor provided an excellent moving company and the experience was and has been excellent.
My home sold a day after I selected a realtor ! The buyers needed a quick closing. [name removed] went above and beyond to assist me with selecting paint and flooring for my apartment and ensuring a timely moving date as well as helping me chose furniture which would work in my new home. All of this was taken care of quickly and efficiently!! I was and continue to be very impressed with her expert assistance ! I have continued to be pleased with my decision to select Proctor Home after touring three retirement homes. I love my apartment and have found both the residents and staff to be pleasant and helpful. The food is very good and there are a wide choice of activities and the movies are an extra perk as well as special events including different types of music and other entertainment. You can be as busy as you choose to be!

about Proctor Place

Proctor Place offers Studio, 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedrooms. Learn more.

A Place for Mom has scored Proctor Place 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
