This IS the place for mom
This facility doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles from an amenities standpoint. It won't be the fanciest place you visit. It is clean, well run, and the people are fantastic! Everyone just loved on and adored my aunt. They were so welcoming and took amazing care of her.
She felt comfortable here and was visibly peaceful. The right place and the right time mean nothing without the right people. Oxford Glen has the people you want caring for your loved one.

Perfect?
I used Oxford Glen for a short period of time. From the moment you walk in the door; you are greeted by a wonderful staff. From marketing lady to care manager and executive director and [name removed]- Everyone is top notch and great at what they do. Extremely professional and quick action when issues happen. Perfect solution for your family needs. If you choose this place you will be in good hands, my mother was in her final days. But above else, she was happy there. Perfect fit for us based on location.

I have visited this community many times and always seem to see smiling faces. It seems to have a lot of engagement going on with the staff and residents and I enjoy my visits here. Definitely a good place to visit if looking for memory care.

Very good experience!
I had a really good experience when I went to see Oxford Glen in Carrollton. I received a very greeting when I arrived and it felt very warm and comfortable. Everyone I met or spoke to were
so nice and informative. The Director [name removed] was very nice and answered all my questions. What was overwhelming before I came in soon became a very insightful and positive meeting.
I cannot recommend [name removed] (and his people) enough to anyone looking for a quality community for their family.

Oxford Glen is the Best in Carrollton. Daily they show their residents so much love and care. From the Front office to the daily caregivers, everyone is respectful and caring.

Not the kind of care I want for my mother
My mother was at this facility and we tried so hard to love it. We moved her in during COVID and could not see her room. After 3 months we were able to visit and realized some of her furniture and things were missing and no one knew where they were. Her clothes constantly got lost in the laundry, her wedding ring disappeared, and things from her room constantly disappeared. From there it was all downhill. Staff is more concerned with their phones than with care for their patients. We were told she would be checked on regularly, but after installing cameras in her room we realized she was hardly ever checked on. Her toilet paper would run out for days before they notice and restocked it. The staff does not speak kindly to the residents and commands them like children. It is not a comfortable and nice place to live.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a nice tour but it is 100% memory care and at the time our loved one was not ready to be place in memory care. If they needed 100% memory care, hands down this would of been a top contender.

This was the best choice i have ever made
Our experience with this community has been great, there is nothing back that we can say about the place. The staff are always attentive to their patients and whenever they need something they are aware of it and get it done immediately. We do not ever have to worry about a thing.

I felt like the process could have been more transparent. They were focused on getting him in the community and needed to focus some on the family and our emotional needs. I would recommend this community to others.

No built in closet - very small room 236 sq ft and to lose space for their wardrobe makes it more cramp. nice outside areas - Nice areas to mingle in but only one area.

Most other residents I know have had to move their parents 2-3 times from facility to facility. There are a couple of reasons that I think Oxford Glenn is great. First and foremost I have had a wonderful experience with the day to day care staff. The vast majority of them are kind and caring. They interact with the patients - they sing with the ones that like that - they hug the ones that like that ..they have taken my mother from being withdrawn (she did not want to have to go into memory care) to coming out to activities. They were compassionate nursing my father until his death and were very comforting to me as well. The new activity people they have are wonderful and I very much like the layout of the place. The buildings are divided into houses - each house is arranged in a horseshoe so that the residents can find their rooms more easily and when they are confused staff can actually see them (no long hallway and twists and turns) and help them. So, from my experience, I would rate the place highly.

Very happy with my decision.
I moved my mother to OGC in November 2018, and I am very pleased with my decision. The care staff including the director, nurses, activity director & her staff, and the certified care givers are all very friendly, helpful, and caring. I feel comfortable that my mother is cared for daily, and the staff is very kind to her. I especially like the open concept of the "houses" because I know my mom cannot get lost in the building.
