Oak Lodge Senior Home
We have been pretty happy with Oak Lodge. At first, mother had no desire to leave her home. After she got settled in here, she was actually very happy and comfortable. I have had no issues with communication when I have called. The staff is very responsive. I currently have no complaints or issues and if there is anything that comes up, they work to resolve it. It is a smaller community, which means there are less residents. It was definitely the right place for my mother as it was not too fancy and not too big and she was getting the level of care she needed. My mother likes the food and not only that, the chef goes around in the evening and gives the residents snacks based on what the residents have expressed a likeness for, which she seemed happy with. The chef would bring my mother fresh fruit every night and even when we brought in outside fruit or snacks for her, the kitchen staff would let her store it in the refrigerator if needed.

Director was on vacation when we arrived for the tour, spoke on the phone. Short staffed that day (only 1 care giver) Not what we are looking for.

There was many factors that played into where to move my mother too for her needs. We had a quick look at this home, and I did feel a residential home would be a good fit for my mother, and her needs. I did find another community that met our needs better.

Good Experience
We has a pretty nice tour of this community. Our questions were answered, and they were informative. The community looked nice for the most part. It was a good experience, but this wasn't the community for us.

Not what we were looking for...
My tour of the Oak Lodge Senior Home did not go so well. The lady that was there to show me the room seemed like she was just there, not very interested. The place was icky and depressing. It was also dirty. Definitely not a place I would put my mother.

A wonderful experience at Oak Lodge
We have toured and decided to have our family member live at oak lodge. We had a wonderful experience with touring the facility. Jean, the director was very helpful and wonderful to work with. She went above and beyond making us comfortable with our decision. The facility is very clean and well kept, has a variety of activities to keep our family member happy, the staff is very friendly and made us feel right at home and im sure our family member will be happy and right at home.

Close to Home
We chose Oak Lodge because it was close to were we use to live, so it keeps us to close to the community we already knew. It was also less expensive then other communities and we were able to keep it within our budget. We are very pleased with Oak Lodge.
