There's a lot of personal attention and care and interest in the residents as individuals. In particular, the house manager, [name removed], and the director of operations, [name removed], are very involved and great at communication and all the rest of their jobs. The energy that's put into making residents comfortable and bringing them as much happiness as possible is wonderful. \n\nThe thing I would most want to add to the A Place for Mom database is that Millennium, unlike so many other memory care facilities, not only accepts residents with a history of aggression/combativeness, but specializes in them. It's very odd to me how many facilities for people with dementia are unable to deal with these sort of symptoms, even though it's not uncommon in this population. Millennium has a very different outlook and it was such a relief to find them after Dad was evicted from his first facility and refused entry to others. Millennium has more experience and infrastructure for behavior management. Residents can enjoy the fresh air in our secured patio, or visit with family and friends in our cozy common areas. We strive to ensure that each resident feels safe and cared for while living at Millennium Memory Care.</p> <p>Our staff practices a holistic approach when it comes to caring for those with memory loss. Instead of strictly caring for medical needs, we take the time to get to know each resident on a personal level, learning their unique histories and talents. By focusing on the mind, body, and spirit, we are able to create daily routines and activities that are tailored to the individual’s needs, promoting a higher quality of life.</p> <h3>Community Services and Amenities</h3> <p>We take health and safety seriously here at Millennium Memory Care. Experienced caregivers are available around the clock to provide assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, eating, and dressing. We also provide diabetic, ambulatory, and incontinence care. Housekeeping and laundry services are offered regularly to keep all living spaces and common areas fresh, clean, and organized. We also prepare three delicious, homemade meals daily with fresh, locally-grown ingredients, many of which are grown in our on-site greenhouse. Residents are encouraged to dine in our family-style dining room, allowing them to socialize with the staff and their friends and neighbors.</p> <p>At Millennium Memory Care, we are committed to creating new activities and programs that keep residents stimulated and engaged. Our MMC Sensory Stimulation Program is our innovative memory care program that is specially designed for those with Alzheimer’s or other dementia-related illnesses. This program focuses on using six areas of sense perception to turn daily activities into memorable events. For example, residents’ past memories can be resonated through auditory therapies, like listening to music or playing an instrument, eliciting feelings of joy and boosting their overall mood.</p> <p>We strive to incorporate this program into community activities and events that are scheduled throughout the week. Games like trivia and bowling allow residents to relax and have fun while continuing to stimulate cognitive and tactile cues. Rest easy knowing that your loved one will not only be cared for, but will also have fun and create friendships, at Millennium Memory Care.</p> <h3>Living Arrangements</h3> <p>Our close-knit community currently houses up to 16 residents.
