The James L West Alzheimer Center is Fort Worth's first, finest and most comprehensive care center for persons with all types of dementia disorders. We are best known for the quality of our care, our well-trained staff, and the fact that we have five living areas dedicated to specialized care for persons at every stage of the disease. Our program of daily activities ensures that each resident is engaged in life. Daily activity is an important part of our treatment.

As an Alzheimer's-certified licensed nursing facility we have very involved physicians who visit weekly, plus nurses and certified nursing assistants in each living area, 24/7. We specialize in residents who require medical care, or suffer from behavioral difficulties, and do not charge extra for these services.

Our Adult Day Program keeps families intact by providing caregivers a break, Monday through Friday, 7:30am-6pm.

As a not-for-profit center, our mission is to serve the whole family with compassion and skill. We share our knowledge by training many DFW medical and nursing school students in dignified care for the aging.
