Hospice Care for My Aunt in a compassionate, loving home
My dear Aunt [name removed] was in Hospice living with me while still able to be semi-independent. The overwhelm was too much for me so I reached out for Board and Care Homes. I spent several weeks interviewing and touring Elder Care Homes for hospice needs until end of life.
I discovered J. Cabral Elder Care, LLC from a friend referral, contacted [name removed]. She came to my residence to meet my Aunt [name removed] and the type of care she would require. Luckily, she had an opening for hospice care, private room with bathroom.
The first thing my Aunt said when she was settled in bed in her lovely room was “it’s so peaceful here”. Most of the residents were in the living room, chatting or watching their favorite movie. Always a good sign when looking for quality care. The staff— [names removed] are so compassionate, efficient, friendly, organized, and engaged with the residents. The residents are always encouraged to leave their rooms and interact with each other and to join in planned activities.
Unfortunately, my Aunt failed quickly during her short stay. The amazing J. Cabral Elder Care Staff had to provide additional assistance for all my Aunt’s needs to make her as comfortable as possible during her last days of life. I have to mention the wonderful support of the Vitas Team who also took care of the medical assessments, supplies, and emotional support.
[Name removed], the Owner/Administrator, coordinated all the care and requirements. She runs an efficient, loving, compassionate, and well organized board and care.
I recommend that anyone looking for a board and care for someone they love, be assured they will be well taken care of, treated with respect and dignity, and visitors are always welcome.

J. Cabral Elder Care, LLC is an Assisted Living Facility in Concord, California. We provide first rate assistance in independent living in a group home setting that respects the privacy and independence of each resident. To be eligible for residence at J. Cabral Elder Care you must be at least 60 years old. Each resident is provided with accommodations that include full bath tubs in a private bathroom with wheelchair accessible showers. Rooms are smoke-free but smoking is allowed outdoors. Parking is available for residents who have their own transportation, or you can take advantage of the nearby bus stop or obtain private transportation anywhere in the area for a fee. It isn't easy for senior citizens to make the decision to relocate to an assisted living facility. Such a transition also creates the need for adjustments by family members as well. We at J. J. Cabral is an A+ facility. Their facility is clean and welcoming....their care is outstanding. My father was in the facility for about six months and I never once had to worry about his care. I highly recommend this facility!

Good for the price!
This home was very nice but it was tired, they had older furniture. The place would be perfect for someone with a lower budget because it was clean, there was no smell and it seemed like the residents were pleased, but I did not feel comfortable with it.

A Positive Place
I looked at a couple of places and I walked in to this place and immediately knew it was the right one, it was such a positive place. It is clean and they are all sweet and everybody is happy and well cared for. It has been a very good experience and I am pleased with the care.

J Cabral is the optimum care facility for an older person who needs 24 hour care, but is not necessarily immobile. The six-resident home is just the right size. The staff is friendly, caring and funny too! The home is always clean and has a welcoming environment. I can drop by at any time without an appointment.
The care my mother-in-law is receiving is great. I find the socialization there great for the residents; there is a good mix of personalities. She is more social, and is interacting well with others. The staff is able to get her involved in various activities and to try new foods.
If there is ever an opening, I would recommend this care home without hesitation.
