I HAVE LIVED AT HOLIDAY VILLAGE FOR NEARLY 4 YRS. AND AM VERY HAPPY HERE. THE STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL, MEALS ARE PREPARED TO YOUR LIKING. I HAVE A 2 BEDROOM APARTMENT, ALONG WITH ONE BATH, LIVING ROOM, KITCHEN, PATIO OUTSIDE MY LIVING ROOM DOOR AND PARKING UNDER CARPORT IS AVAILABLE. I WOULD RECOMMEND HOLIDAY AS A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE SINCE APARTMENTS ARE WELL CLEANED EVERY 2 WEEKS, UNLESS SOMEONE IS ON A DIFFERENT LEVEL OF CARE, THE VIEW OF THE LAKE/FOUNTAIN ARE BEAUTIFUL; FLOWERS AROUND AREA ARE WELL CARED FOR AND AN OVERALL NICE PLACE TO LIVE. THE MAINTENANCE PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP IN ANY WAY THEY CAN WHICH IS HELPFUL TO ME. I HOPE TO BE IN MY PRESENT APARTMENT FOR MANY MORE YEARS TO COME, BUT ALSO KNOW THAT IF THE TIME COMES I'M UNABLE TO CARE FOR MYSELF ANY LONGER, THE HERITAGE CENTER IS JUST ACROSS THE STREET, AS WELL AS HORIZONS HOME CARE, HERITAGE HOSPICE AND AS RESIDENT OF HOLIDAY VILLAGE AT TIME OF ILLNESS, CAN BE AUTOMATICALLY SENT TO ONE OF THESE LOCATIONS IF A ROOM IS AVAILABLE AT THE TIME. I'VE MET SO MANY WONDERFUL PEOPLE HERE, SOME THAT I KNEW BEFORE I MOVED HERE AND OTHERS WHO HAVE BECOME SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS. WE ALL CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER HERE AND ARE WILLING TO HELP EACH OTHER OUT IF WE ARE ABLE. HOLIDAY ALSO PROVIDES TRANSPORTATION TO DOCTOR'S/DENTISTS/ OTHER MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS AS WELL AS TRIPS TO PHARMACY, PERSONAL BEAUTICIAN (ALTHOUGH THERE IS PART-TIME BEAUTICIAN ON STAFF). THERE IS ALSO A VAN TO TAKE PEOPLE ON SHOPPING TRIPS, TO VARIOUS CHURCHES, OUT TO EAT AND OTHER ACTIVITIES. MOVIES ARE ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHTS. BINGO AND OTHER ACTIVITIES EVERY EVENING FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO ATTEND AS WELL AS CATHOLIC COMMUNION/ROSARY EVERY THURSDAY MORNING AT 9 AM AS WELL AS OTHER RELIGIOUS SERVICES DURING THE WEEK AND ON SUNDAY. A WIDE RANGE OF ENTERTAINERS ARE HERE THROUGH THE WEEK/ON WEEKENDS AS WELL AS VARIOUS OUTINGS FOR WHICH A BUS IS PROVIDED. IT'S THE KIND OF PLACE WHERE ONE CAN BE AS ACTIVE AS THEY WANT TO BE OR IF NOT, CAN BE COMFORTABLE IN YOUR OWN APARTMENT. THERE IS A NURSE ON DUTY AT VARIOUS TIMES, CARE-GIVERS DAY AND NIGHT WHEN NECESSARY AND HELPERS TO BRING FOOD TRAYS TO PEOPLE IF THEY ARE UNABLE TO COME TO THE DINING ROOM FOR MEALS. THERE IS A LIBRARY HERE/BOOKS MAY BE BORROWED AND RETURNED WHEN FINISHED READING THEM, ON HONOR SYSTEM. CARD GAMES OF DIFFERENT TYPES ARE AVAILABLE DAILY S WELL AS BOOK CLUB AND OTHER ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS CRAFTS, ETC. IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN ASSISTED LIVING, I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HOLIDAY VILLAGE.
