About
Gower Convalescent Center
Gower Convalescent Center, established in 1967 as a locally owned, non-profit organization. Our ownership and mission remain the same today.
Our mission statement: To provide a welcoming, caring atmosphere for our residents, their families, our staff, and the community we serve. To promote optimal health and functioning by providing quality individualized care for our residents, to meet not only their needs but their preferences as well.
We emphasize quality of life. It is offered in many obvious and subtle ways, never infringing on the residents need for dignity, independence, and personal rights. We recognize that each person has unique physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. Rest and relaxation are blended with the rural setting and adds to the warm and friendly atmosphere that is constant at the center.
Our reputation is based on quality and loving nursing services for long term care, yet we also offer the same services for the short term stay. We are available for just a few hours during the day, or even a short respite stay. We offer rehab services featuring all disciplines of therapy. We also work with Hospice services to provide a loving and peaceful environment for the terminally ill resident.
