You are Invited to Attend a Special Presentation: Creative Ways to Stay Hydrated
Adequate hydration is essential for the quality of life of seniors. Specifically, water helps promote brain function, intestinal comfort and urinary continence. The better you manage these aspects of your health, the easier it is to enjoy the active life you want. Everyone's body is different, so there is no set amount of fluids needed per person per day. Seniors who exercise more, live in warmer environments (indoors or outdoors) or have other health conditions such as a fever will typically need more than 64 ounces of water each day.
"Staying hydrated is a combination of drinking, eating and environmental factors."

Among older adults, falls are the leading cause of injury deaths, unintentional injuries, and hospital admissions for trauma. Falls can take a serious toll on older adults’ quality of life and independence.
Our goal is to empower older adults who have fallen or who have a fear of falling to recognize and carry out health behaviors that reduce their risk of falls. The program workshop is designed to assist older adults to take control of their falls risk, explore different coping behaviors and encourage follow-through of safety strategies in everyday life.
