The physical environment is very "homey", clean and set up well for folks with dementia. The staff and care they provide are excellent - from the Director, to the RN and aide caregivers as well as the cook and maintenance man. Everyone pitches in and helps where needed and they all treat our loved one with respect and compassion; she has severe dementia, but seems happy and comfortable / content there. We are very happy with her care at Eau Claire Azura Memory Care.

At Azura Memory Care of Eau Claire in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, caregivers strive to serve the physical, behavioral, spiritual, and social needs of each resident. Caregivers understand that with a memory-loss diagnosis, each day can be vastly different. In this single-story community, residents find spacious common areas tastefully decorated, indoor walking paths, safety features to ensure residents don’t wander off-campus, and bright, expansive windows. Residents’ private suites come in several spacious studio floor plans, each complete with warm sunlight pouring in, safety features, a large bathroom, and more.
Caregivers at Azura Memory Care of Eau Claire are trained in Azura’s robust MOSAIC education program, ensuring they are the best caregivers they can be. Caregivers are also trained in the Alzheimer's Association’s Guidelines for Dignity, so rest assured your loved one is being treated with compassion, respect, and kindness as they receive assistance with their activities of daily living. All residents receive three delicious meals a day in the cafe-style dining room and are encouraged to participate in the many on-site activities in between meals. Residents can play simple video games, work on crafts, visit with loved ones, and much more.

I am very happy with Azura. The staff are friendly and professional. They have taken the time to get to know my mom's life story to understand her better. They are receptive to suggestions. I like that there is an option to see a nurse practitioner that comes to the facility. The director and staff are willing and open to talking to find solutions as things arise.

There are not enough words to say just what Azura has meant to our family and mom. Having to move her to Azura 4 years ago was very difficult. But the past and present team enveloped her and us with open, loving arms. Azura cared for her as one of their own. She recently passed away, but was surrounded by her family and the Azura family as well. We cannot thank them enough for all they have done. Azura is top notch in caring for persons with dementia. I highly recommend them.

Azura - Larson House is very nice there. My mom loves it there. She loves all the activities they have there. I'm very happy she lives there. I don't worry that something would happen to her. The staff is awesome, they are so good with all the residents. [Name removed] that works there, my mom says she loves him. He's like a son she never had and I think he is great too. [Name removed], the director, she is so great too, very caring. She let my mom bring her cat with her there. A lot of the workers and residents have to come in to see mom and the cat. Rosie, mom's cat, loves all the attention.

What I appreciate most about this community is the level of interaction that takes place between the staff and the residents. I see the staff devoting significant time engaging the residents in conversation, participating in activity with them in addition to the basic physical care given. The environment is pleasant and clean. My mother, who has been hard to please, tells me how nice it is to be there.

Everyone looks so clean and nice when I come to visit. The staff interacts with the residents as if they were their own loved ones. They answer all my questions and actively listen to any concerns I have.

We had a long, long discussion with mom when it came time to talk about getting help. We had heard nothing but good things about Azura and mom was on board with it. To keep it short, we have not been let down as Azura has exceeded our expectations. The staff is kind, friendly and goes above and beyond. The activities are fun and different and the food is great.

Azura takes great care of our mother when we cant. Azura has been very good with working with us as a family and allowing my mother to be discharged temporarily and overnight as needed for family and medical needs. this allows for my mother to have "a break" from institutional setting. this contributes to a better mental health for out mother, [name removed].

I have never met a group of people with a bigger heart than those that work at Azura. Every single resident looks happy, well cared for and respected, including my grandma. She always tells me about what is happening and what events she will be going to today. Azura in Eau Claire was a great decision!!
