Avon Manor is like being at home - because it is a home - located in a quiet, safe, private community. A caregiver is giving the residents kindness, care and structure 24/7. Meals are family style around a big table in a bright homey setting with a view of the gated backyard garden and the waterway, behind the safety fence.
The owner/manager, Mr. Bruce, personally hires and trains the staff. The residents are content and friends with each other. They spend most of the time in the front parlor, a quiet and clean room with sofas and recliner. The bedrooms are clean and quiet. The clean, safe bathroom is always warm. Relatives are welcomed to visit. This unpretentious residence has all the basics.

Avon Manor is a senior care home located in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which is Broward County. The city is known as a popular tourist destination with beautiful beaches and canals. Fort Lauderdale is a gorgeous place to live; the extra activities and events make the area ideal for friends and family to visit.
Avon Manor is committed to providing the highest level of life by meeting each resident's individual needs in a roomy, caring group home setting. Our community is dedicated to keeping all residents safe and secure in a friendly atmosphere. Our compassionate, caring staff is available day or night to keep all residents comfortable. A doctor is on call to aid in any situation that may unexpectedly arise.

Our experience with Avon Manor
We chose Avon Manor because of the affordability of the facility. The room sizes at the facility are adequate for what he needs. The staff members here have been really friendly. I do wish that the administrative staff would be more forth coming on what they truly expect as far as financial requests. Overall I would recommend to others looking.

Two bedroom, one bathroom house with a third bedroom made from enclosing the garage. Each bedroom had two twin beds. The two main bedrooms were for the women, and the enclosed room was the men's bedroom.
The interior seemed clean and no smells...actually, the nurse was baking, so it smelled pretty good. She was polite and friendly. I also spoke with [name removed] who was also kind and understanding.
We did not choose this location because it did not seem to be a good fit for our mother due to her dementia and wandering tendencies.

Moving Aunt Ag from her condo to constant care
We are delighted to report that Aunt Ag is settled in a safe and comfortable home. Upon arriving the first day she said it was a nice place but she needed to go home. When my cousin told his mother this was her new home she repeated she wanted to go home and would not move from the couch until cousin took her back to her condo. After Agatha fell asleep on the couch the understanding staff urged my cousin to leave. He did so with reticence. To his delight he was awakened by a cell phone call from his mother - She was delighted, it was wonderful, the food was good and she was more than content. We are so relieved that neither she \nor her son have to worry about which care giver was supposed to have shown up or if the grocery list had been filled or who was going to cook. This is the right place for her. It is a relatively new remodel of a one story home with 2 semi private rooms. There are a couple of vacancies which should be snapped up soon. When the weather cools a bit and the rain takes a break Agatha is looking forward to spending some time on the patio overlooking a grassy area and adjacent to a lovely waterway. This is a small intimate home which for Agatha was the best placement as opposed to a large and confusing establishment. Ag feels like she has a new home with good food and someone there when she needs help. She was thinking that she was going to be put away in an institution. The Florida Resident Care Home system has wonderfully met her need for a safe new home which is near to her son. She loves his frequent visits.
We are indebted to you for helping us find just the right spot for Agatha. We wish you well in assisting other families with just the right solution for our family.
