My loved one did not end up moving in because she passed away, but during our time working with Shelby Gardens Place I received so much help and they were the most caring people I have ever worked with. I have since recommended this facility to many people. I would rate them a 10 on the scale of 1-5.

I've been very happy with Arbor Terrace Fairfax. The main thing I like is they have two separate wings, one for higher functioning residents and one for lower functioning residents. Since my dad is higher functioning, that was one of the biggest selling points for us, that he wouldn't solely be with people at the end stages with limited functioning. The staff are very sweet and caring. I like that I can just pop in any time I want - there's no appointment necessary to visit. And he always look good when I come in. His clothes are always clean, and he's always well dressed.

I have already recommended the community to others for their loved ones. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the community had hospice available on site for my loved one. The care was great for my loved one during their time here. This community is privately owned and the owners are always available to speak with. They are also working on staff with the other caregivers.

The Northshore Heights community is a top notch facility, the staff are absolutely wonderful to work with. They give 5 stars across the board, they are always on top of it. We have been there while our loved one is eating and she never has any complaints to say. Based on our overall experience so far with Northshore Heights we would recommend this community to other families.

It's a nice place but it was not the best fit for my mom at the time. The staff were very nice and the rooms were pretty great! They were great with communication and answered all my moms questions that she had.

It's a great community. The staff are awesome and know what they're doing. They really care and take good care of the people who are there. We just happened to be there visiting during a tornado warming one time and got to see them in action during an emergency. They had a good action plan, got everyone where they needed do be, and were very caring an considerate. They do an amazing job. And they also have a lot of activities going on. I highly recommend them.

I would definitely recommend Heather Heights. Everything is on one floor, so it makes it easy to get around. The residents don't have to get on an elevator to go eat, etc. And that's a huge asset. They also have memory care there, which also all on one floor. In assisted living, there are options for different living spaces. They offer apartments with a living room, bedroom, and bathroom. Or they also have a one room option that's less expensive. You can bring your own furniture if you like, or they can also furnish the rooms if you prefer. The staff have been excellent. In addition to the aides, they also have nurses on duty at all times. And they have a doctor (or sometimes his assistant) that comes in about once a week if needed. The food is excellent. My family member was saying before moving in that she just didn't like to eat. But here she says the food is wonderful, which is really something. They have a lot of activities if you choose to participate The last few weeks they've had musicians come in, which she loves. And she loves the ice cream bar. The cost is high but seems to be about the same as what other places in the area are charging. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Heather Heights.

I thought Heather Heights was very nice. The staff seemed good. And they had a therapist there who was well versed in Parkinson's, which would be great for my loved one.

the whole operation has been fantastic, they have great communication and our loved one is receiving great care. The meals to us seem very healthy, and nutrious but the feedback our loved one has given us is that they are not good. However she is very much enjoying all of the activities they offer.

We had a very nice tour with Shelby Gardens Place. The facility is great and it is in a good location.

This community is excellent. I would recommend to go there. The staff are excellent also. I cant say enough positive things about this place.

We have been very impressed from the start and would definitely recommend Brompton Heights to others. They activities offered to the residents have been great.

We liked how the community when our loved one was there was fairly new. We liked all the amenities they offered and all the different types of levels of care for the residents.

Everything and everyone we have dealt with so far has been super, and we have had no complaints when it comes to the friendliness of the staff and their care services. In the beginning when our loved one was eating in the dining room every so often, she said the meals were fabulous. They would make anything she wanted if she didn't like what they were serving. However our loved one broke her hip and is completely bed ridden. The outside care services they have brought in to help with her care is completely on top of everything. They do a great job keeping us in the loop and help make decision regarding our loved ones care.

Our tour was very good. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We really liked them, and they were one of our top choices. It was just way too expensive.

This community seems very home like. The sales staff was nice over the phone and answered my questions and concerns. The building is under renovations but seemed nice. The activities director showed a variety of activities and outings each week. The food menu looked good and had two options. The price is high for the size of the rooms.

They have anything you want. They have food available 24 by 7. I would recommend you check out the community. They have a chef on staff. You have a menu you can order from. They have Hershey’s ice cream you can have. The head nurse and how she catered to my loved one they got sick stand out. They have a flat fee for all the care, no matter how much care your loved one needs. This community is privately owned and I was able to get a hold of the staff whenever it was needed.

Any questions or concerns I have, they always address them. I got my loved one a cell phone, and a lot of the time she doesn't remember how to use it or she accidentally turns the ringer off. But they're really good about having her call me when I can't get through to her. They've been really nice about that. I've meet the ladies who clean the rooms once a week, and they're always open to questions about if she needs supplies like paper towels and things. When I've been inside myself, everything has been nice and clean, including the bathroom, the kitchen sink, the refrigerator. And they do her laundry. Shelby Gardens has a great activities director who keeps the residents busy. She prints out what they're doing that day and at what time. That way anybody who would like to participate can do so. They've hatched baby ducks, planted vegetables outside, painted, and done crafts. The activities director posts pictures on Facebook so you can see what your family member is up to. And she'll also text me pictures sometimes so I can share them with out-of-state family members. She puts forth a lot of effort above and beyond. She'll do my loved one's nails on the weekend. I've been very pleased. It took a while for her to get settled in, but she likes it now. She seems very content. I tell her it's like she's on a cruise - with meals provided, housekeeping, activities, people to socialize with. She tells me it's the cruise that never goes anywhere - although I know they go on little outings when Covid protocols allow.

The staff has turned over and I know the new director coming in and I'm happy with the change as well. I highly recommend this community. The entire family has been impressed with the community. The staff was always available and kept me in contact with what is going on with my loved one and this is impressive to me. They allow virtual calls and they are flexible in keeping in contacting with our loved one, one per resident per day.

Due to the covid restrictions we were not able to get inside the facility, but looking through our loved ones windows the place seemed very clean. Our loved one is a big eater, he absolutely loved the food and the taste of the food. The community did open up a couple of weeks ago, but the activities are geared more towards the woman so there are not a lot that peaks his interest.
