My loved one is a resident at Buckingham Heights. The staff have all been great. They take a very personal approach when dealing with the residents and always try their best to make them comfortable. The food has been well prepared and individualized for each resident. Upon moving in, communication was great. Aside from visiting every day, I also receive a call from the nurse every evening to let me know how everything is going. I would recommend Buckingham Heights to others.

When I was interviewing and touring places for my mom I was convinced Shelby Gardens was the best choice for my mom when the director told me that they could care for her till end of life. No other facility had came close to saying that to me. After 2 months of her being there , she has settled in, made friends and gained almost 15lbs. She also tells me how nice they all are to her. Our family thrilled with the service she is getting.

It was an overall good experience! At the end when my dad transitioned to hospice care (staying in the same room) the staff was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend them for elderly care.I picked Heather heights because it was clean, friendly atmosphere had the nursing care that my dad needed.

I have been nothing but impressed by everything: the staff, the amenities, the individual living quarters, the food. Overall I can without any hesitation recommend Devon House Senior Living to anyone considering placement for a family member. The facility is always clean, both in common areas and in each resident's "apartment". I have never even seen so much as a piece of paper laying on the floor. It never ceases to amaze me how every staff member knows every resident's name ~ and right from the get go. The staff greets every resident by name every time they have an encounter. It gives one a sense if belonging. I have observed first hand the caring attitude of every employee. If something needs attention, it is done in a timely manner. The dining room gives the feeling of eating out in a restaurant. There are table linens and centerpieces on every table. The room is decorated for various holidays. As for the food itself, there are many options provided for every meal, every day. Food is made to order. There are eight (8) to ten (10) scheduled activities for EVERY day, weekends as well. There are physical, mental and fun activities available to choose every day. Off site excursions are also an option for residents to participate in. Even though there was a recent increase in cost, I still believe that Devon House Senior Living provides a home-like atmosphere for a reasonable cost.

I loved Heather Heights of Pittsford. I wish she could've stayed there longer, but unfortunately, she needed a higher level of care. I have nothing but the highest compliments for them! Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

Heather Heights is a great place for people who are more independent with well established hobbies and interests. In our case it did not work out because of a greater medical needs that Heather Heights could not provide and support.

The Heather Heights community is very clean, the rooms are very clean and it is just a lovely place. Every time we come to visit, the residents are always kept clean. The workers who have been there for years are absolutely excellent. They just hired a new rep therapist on the memory care side so we expect the activities may change. Right now they take the residents on the bus once a week which they loved - there are balloon exercises, ice cream socials, so we do think they are trying their best. The main dining room on the assisted living side is right when you walk in - they are truly blessed to have that staff working there. So pleasant, polite, and amazing. The value at the end of the day is completely worth it.

They have done everything that they can do. My uncle can be difficult but they do try to offer him the best care. He does not take advantage of all that they offer. He really likes the food that they serve here. ' Based off of what I have seen I would definitely recommend Shelby Gardens Place to others.

I would recommend the community. They were very compassionate and helped get my loved one to dialysis when their ride said they couldn't take them any longer. They care very much and went out of their way to help.

We personally have not had much experience with the community but from what we have heard everything has been very good.

The staff members at Shelby Gardens were very friendly not only to the residents and our loved one but to our family as well. We thought the activities were excellent - our loved one really enjoyed playing the trivia games and bingo. The price is right in line with other communities in the area. From the moment we stepped into Shelby Gardens we just got that feel their intention was to make it a family environment and really make it a point to treat the residents as if they were apart of their own family.

We are really liking Shelby Gardens Place, it's great! Their staff have been vey helpful in creating an individualized plan. We've had a little trouble at time with them following through, but they are very receptive to feedback. My loved one's room is clean, spacious, and has everything he needs. I would recommend Shelby Gardens Place to others!

I have nothing but positive comments about Devon House. I have found every single staff member to be pleasant and courteous, not only to the residents but to visitors as well. If I had went to staff with concerns or questions, they addressed them both professionally and expediently.

I would tell families that Heather Heights was one of my favorite places and that my loved one really enjoyed being there.

I toured this facility and we decided to use them. However, due to a turn of events our loved one ended up needing hospice care so they never moved in. During the tour, staff was very friendly. They were also very accommodating. I needed a wheelchair for the tour and they were able to provide that for me. We had already paid for our loved one's stay, but they were wonderful about refunding our money after the turn of events. Overall, I would recommend Shelby Gardens Place!

They are very helpful and friendly here. The communication with the staff is excellent, and they are responsive to the family's questions or concerns. I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. There are three meals a day along with snacks for the residents. The residents have choices to choose from for activities. There is also a monthly activities listing for the residents to choose from each day.

My loved one did not end up moving in because she passed away, but during our time working with Shelby Gardens Place I received so much help and they were the most caring people I have ever worked with. I have since recommended this facility to many people. I would rate them a 10 on the scale of 1-5.

I've been very happy with Arbor Terrace Fairfax. The main thing I like is they have two separate wings, one for higher functioning residents and one for lower functioning residents. Since my dad is higher functioning, that was one of the biggest selling points for us, that he wouldn't solely be with people at the end stages with limited functioning. The staff are very sweet and caring. I like that I can just pop in any time I want - there's no appointment necessary to visit. And he always look good when I come in. His clothes are always clean, and he's always well dressed.

I have already recommended the community to others for their loved ones. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the community had hospice available on site for my loved one. The care was great for my loved one during their time here. This community is privately owned and the owners are always available to speak with. They are also working on staff with the other caregivers.
