Unsafe!!! This facility frequently is left without adequate cna’s on duty. Supposed to be two. When one calls off management expects the remaining cna to find coverage. When that isn’t possible, one cna is left in charge of 36 residents. Why doesn’t management have backup temp staff on call or come in themselves? You can’t tell me one staff for 36 people is proper staff to client ratio! What happens if there is a fire? One cna couldn’t possibly save 36 people. This happens more times than not. (Inadequate staffing). Where is State oversight?

This place is left with only one cna working more times than not. No backup plan for when people don’t show up for their shift. This leaves one cna in charge of the complete care of 36 residents. Unsafe situation! Inadequate care even when staffed.

Alta Ridge used to be very nice until a corporate takeover. Now the food budget is bare bones and while the cooks are good, the meals are mostly packaged frozen stuff like corn dogs, chicken nuggets and tater tots. I hear the equipment is also bare bones and broken. Dont come for the food.

The State of Utah should shut this place down for health reasons

These people are thieves, financial abuse of the elderly. My grandmother needed a place to go to right out of the hospital. The price I was given started at $2800.00 then went up to $3800.00 (check was cashed within days) citing a higher level of care which she didn't need, and didn't get. Her husband took her out after 13 days, we weren't informed about giving a 30 day written notice regardless of what they say. So the community is demanding what amounts to $6168.21 for 13 days or they will take my grandmother to collections!

Heritage Village is a beautiful facility. But while their website claims that they offer memory care services for patients with Alzheimer's disease, their staff is not not properly trained or capable of providing sufficient care for people who are suffering from late stage Alzheimer's. Our family has had an awful experience with Heritage Village-- if you're looking for a facility that is able to care for a late stage Alzheimer's patient, this is not the place. Instead of letting my Mom know that they couldn't provide the care that my grandfather needs due to his late stage of Alzheimer's, and asking her to find a different facility that is a better fit for him, they had him transported and "dumped" at the local ER in his pajamas. He did not have a medical emergency that needed to be addressed--they just didn't want to deal with him. He was in the ER for over 36 hours before he was transferred to a nursing home with an Alzheimer's unit. Jennifer, the director of the facility, would not return my mother's calls, and my grandfather's case worker had to call three times before she demanded to talk to speak to this woman and finally got a call back. Alyssa, one of my grandfather's caretakers, was incredibly rude to my mother on three occasions-- if she speaks to a resident's family member like that, how does she treat the residents? My mother has been an ICU nurse for nearly 30 years, and she has never been rude to any of her patients' family members. She did not deserve to be spoken to in the manner that she was. Heritage Village may be a great place for older senior citizens who are no longer able to live alone, but it is an awful place for late stage Alzheimer's patients. This facility accepted my grandfather as a resident less than a month ago knowing his current condition. The last few weeks have been a nightmare for my family, and I am incredibly saddened that my grandfather has not been treated with the compassion and respect that all elderly people deserve.

Employer using unprofessional and foul language to explain situation. She did not know the accurate answer so she made it up. Conflicts of interest in the employer and administrative support in building. Unprofessional one sided conflicts and outcome.
