Pro and cons
It's a good middle of the road option. It still feels pretty expensive.
Clean, safe, friendly staff.
Sometimes it feels like staff aren't delivering the level of care that my dad is paying for, ie assistance with changing close, shower hygiene.

Keep your loved one far from this place if you value their life
Families and Elderly,
Please stay FAR away from this place. About 3 months ago they were taken over by a new corporation in California. They immediately raised prices and cut amenities - starting with the food. Dinners became grilled cheese with highly processed food. High in sodium, low in nutrition.
My mother is a high risk for infection (which they know) and 3 times in the last 3 months she had to go to the ER. The last time she ran a fever for over 4 days before they finally called an ambulance and when she was rushed to the hospital she was SEPSIS and almost had her leg amputated at the hip! About 40 days prior to this incident my mother sent her 30 day notice so when this happened I cleaned out her room and told the staff her notice was definitely in effect. Well guess what? Yep - they just put through a charge for ANOTHER MONTH. Try to get a hold of someone - [name removed] just hung up on me. Now they avoid my calls as they try to charge more $$

Your mother was an independent individual who made her own decisions regarding her care and residency. Our team worked closely with her while respecting her autonomy. We followed all proper procedures in coordination with her healthcare providers. Any medical concerns were addressed promptly, including facilitating emergency care as needed.
Regarding the move-out notice, your mother first submitted a notice in [date removed] but later told us about her decision to remain in the community. We received no further confirmation of a move-out until [date removed], at which time you informed us of her departure. Rent payments are processed on a scheduled date each month, and her February rent was processed accordingly. If you have any additional concerns regarding this, we encourage you to contact our Business Office Manager directly.
Woodland Estates takes pride in delivering compassionate, professional care. We remain committed to transparency and maintaining the highest standards for our residents. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact our Executive Director as soon as possible.

Nice staff, unhelpful stay
Mom was there for a little extra help after a fall. Studio room was nicely redone but incredibly small. There was only room for a single bed and an arm chair. Nowhere comfortable to sit. Mom ended sitting in a wheelchair all day and being pushed everywhere. She was not using a chair before and I really felt this was not helping her get stronger at all. Staff was very nice and helpful but the sales pitch to move her there permanently got a little strong and very taxing at the end.

Amazing place!! Great team of people!!!
My mom has been fighting cancer and with her treatments she has been struggling with getting to appointments and making her own food at night.
We decided to get her some help. Montage Hills sales manager Sydney was contacted by A Place For Mom. [name removed] got us on a tour the next day. Found two choices within my mom’s price range!! Was able to evaluate my mom right away!!! They found her a room to stay in until her perm I ate room was available!!! Allowed my sister and I time to move her into her new room and downsize with no stress and worries about mom’s care!!! Took my mom to her cancer treatment, picked her up, brought her her dinner to her room!!! Everything was easy and stress free!!!
Because of their great care my mom has transitioned easily and is already feeling more at home!!!
[name removed] is amazing!!!?????? The entire team has a medical plan to help my mom with nutrition, pain management, cancer drugs and my mom doesn’t have to worrie about anything!!!

The activities are well rounded for all physical abilities. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. The dining room offers soup daily and a vast variety of daily specials. They also have a menu for people who just want a cheeseburger! There are at least 5 activities every day which makes for an active, exciting community.
