I like the size of community and the attention to all the residents and how quickly they came to recognize our loved one, to welcome her, and encourage her to get involved. They were very thoughtful during the height of the pandemic and even when they had to deliver meals they did a phenomenal job. They were so eager to get the dinning room set up correctly so the residents could come back and eat their meals comfortably. The executive director is so thoughtful an caring, and the entire staff team is amazing.... Read more

We were on the verge of leasing one of the 2 bedroom apartments here. We were pressured because someone else was looking into them as well and we were told we had to make a decision quickly and we just were not ready yet. One thing I did not like was that they keep independent living residents and assisted living residents completely separate. My mom is on the line between the two and I would have liked to see them be able to interact together more.

what a mistake i made coming to courtyards....the management does not care for the residents as they do not honor our contracts with care... the turnover of the caretakers is unheard of....you are lucky if you see your caregiver twice in 1 week...................soon we will be ushering our 4th director since december as well as there entire staff....with no direction or leadership from staff why stay here...? you know how many residents have left to other better assisted living locations... and lastly the meals are extremely unpleasant....was told they have 5 postings for culinary hirings but meantime we have to eat sub-level food when we residents are here to improve our way life/health...i have contacted corporate offices with resolution or call backs........from the top to the very bottom management/corporate offices does nor care whatsoever!!!!!!

May 20, 2022Sheri, thank you for taking the time to provide your wonderful review. It is an honor to care for your Mom at The Courtyards at Mountain View!
It is hard to join in any of the activities because there are a lot of cliques and the ladies think they run everything. When I moved here they said they would deliver food until things get better. When the food came, every meal was cold. I ended up just cooking my own meals. It is starting to get better but I still do not like what they serve and the names are crazy, you never know what you will be getting served. The head of maintenance came and talked a big talk when I moved in and he has yet to take care of the things that I have put in 3 tickets in the last 4 months and he has not helped me one bit. Every time I see him in the hallway he turns the other way. The turnover of everyday staff as well as management has been crazy. It changes everyday and we never know what is going on. I wish I had never left my old facility, the quality and friendliness was much better over there. If I had known then what I know now, I would not have moved here. I would not recommend them to others looking.

Our tour at The Courtyards at Mountain View was great. Really the only issue for my loved one was they do not allow alcoholic beverages. But I was impressed with them overall.

This community was a little more expensive. We would have considered if it was a little more affordable because it was in a great location.

I'm very happy. The community comes in and cleans our room. Everyone is very friendly. It is expensive; however it is worth it, since I'm happy. The Courtyards seems to be caring and has a great warmth to it.
The Courtyards at Mountain View is an exceptional community. The food is excellent and the care is excellent. We are very happy there and have no complaints. My brother visited several other communities and chose this community because felt that everything there was outstanding

June 5, 2020Thank you so much for your review! We're committed to providing the highest quality care, food, and overall service here at The Courtyards at Mountain View!
I have been familiar with this facility since it opened 12 years ago. There has been change of ownership twice- Heritage Club- Brookdale- now Pegasus. This last change in February 2019 was promised to provide more attentive care and facility up-grade. I see no evidence of this I have been most disappointed with the change of management/ownership. After the first six months there was a large firing of long-term, in my opinion, very competent staff. Discussion among residents is that some of these firing’s were for cost savings, and that all departments were asked to decrease their budgets by 30%. Morale among residents is low, and many are fearful about the quality of their care with so many new hires who are not familiar with their individual needs.

New Ownership / management 2/1/2019. Independent living has been great until now. But that could change.
Nice visit, newer facility built in 2007, with full range of services. A bit further from my house than the other two Brookdale facilities and a slightly less expensive initiation fee. If we are going with Brookdale, will pick one of the two closest to my own home.
Had my second tour with [name removed] this time. Ideal place if my aunt would agree to move to Colorado! Light, bright, common areas and hallways. Warm staff. Liked the floor plans. Respite would be the ideal way to start off.
Mom is here in the assisted living side. They are meeting all of mom's needs. The staff is very good, attentive and caring. She has a 1bdrm apartment they will clean her room and do the laundry and linens 1x weekly. She gets 3 satisfactory meals a day. The will engage mom to join the activities but she will enjoy them soon. They have a very nice covered patio with a rose garden she will like that in the summer. I recommend this community.
My folks have been living here for about a year. It has been a continual problem in all areas. The dining room is always slow and service is horrible. When the staff is asked for something they forget and never remember even after being reminded of simple things like dressing for a salad or a drink that you would think makes common sense that these older folks may need something to drink with there meal. The management is unresponsive to requests and IT SEEMS they are interested in selling you a bill of goods to get you to move in then could not care less if you are less than satisfied as long as THEY are getting paid. This is an expensive place to be for the very very lack of services that they advertise. I am very sad for my folks esp since they do not want to go to the expense and physically draining move to another facility. This is a poor excuse for a community and these folks do not really care at all but to get the $$ from there residence!!!!
The apartment air conditioner thermostat didn't work properly - and never got fixed during my mom's month stay. The activity director was suppose to help my mom get involved in the games she was told were happening but the director never followed through. The food quality was poor and the meal service took a very long time - most nights my mom would leave without dessert because they either ran out or took too long to bring to her. My mom and I were very disappointed - the services she was promised were not provided.
This is a nice community for the care of a loved one. The staff seemed to be attentive to the residents. The menu seems to be appealing. I like the nice list of activities that are offered. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one. Families might want to see if this community is affordable to care
Do not move into this place. My room has never been cleaned thoroughly, behind the toilet, etc. The staff is the worst! This is expensive with terrible service, terrible food and is really a very sad joke. Overworked, underpaid, as little as possible and basically just not enough of the right people on hand. The staff hide in their offices and are not part of the resident culture. Maybe the staff needs to eat in the dining room and they can find out what it's like. The food it terrible and dining room service is even worse! Lot's of smiles little follow through. Non-professional, non-professional, non-professional!!!!! Financially taking advantage of the elderly. Basically, they just don't give a hoot about the resident or their family. I am being generous in this review.
